The "New Look" version is DEFINITELY not the same as the old one. I'm super sensitive to scents and the new one is waaaay stronger and different. The New Look version also DOES NOT hold like this version. It would hold my curls no matter how humid it was BUT I curled my hair and went left for work and by the time I got there (15 minutes) there was basically no curls anymore!! PLEASE BRING THIS FORMULA BACK!!!

Love this hair spray. Holds without the heaviness of some sprays. No skin reactions like I have gotten with others. Will continue purchasing.

I have very fine, straight hair. No body, no texture. My hair will fall flat and limp within minutes if I don't spray a ton of adhesive on it immediately after styling. The problem with maximum hold sprays is that they give me "helmet hair" and also nasty product build up that doesn't come off despite using a clarifying product. I purchased a travel size of John Frieda Frizz Ease Firm Hold Hairspray for my work bag and purse. After using a few times I was amazed at the holding power of this stuff WITHOUT making my hair stiff like concrete. It holds amazingly well without that helmet effect. My hair can actually move around and looks natural. I can comb my hair without breakage and it really seems like this stuff actually adds great natural looking body and texture to my hair and I don't need to spray and spray and spray. This can of spray is smaller than the industrial stuff I was using but lasts much longer (because I spray so much less). Highly recommend this product if you have fine hard to style and hold hair like I do.

I have wavy to curly red hair. Being a teenager in the 1980s, I have tried practically every hair product out there, especially those for curly hair. This Frizz Ease product is one of the best I've ever used. It actually does refresh curls on non-shampoo days. One of the reasons curly hair is curly is that it has an open cuticle, which is what causes it to get frizzy. So it's very hard to make our hair smooth. But this stuff makes curly hair smoother, more defined, and less frizzy. Use it on damp hair. I keep a spray bottle with plain water in my bathroom to dampen my hair on non-wash days. Dampen your hair, spray this on and scrunch it up, air dry or diffuse, and you will have curls that are bouncy and pretty smooth. Works better than more expensive brands.

Great hairspray for controlling fizz. Fragrance is fine and easy to apply.

A little goes a long way. This hairspray is nice. Not too stiff but holds my style.

This spay is horrible AND wonderful. While it works it leaves tiny white dots on hair strands. I live in an ALF and friends there first pointed it out...it most shows in the front on the top portion of my hair. The top had fallen off prior to packing by Amazon, I had a cap that somewhat fit and use that. I've only been using for about two weeks and it began the morning of the first use. Other than the tiny white specks (which will NOT wash out, the spray works well!
