Cabinet installer, everyone has a different tool set...
This bag works great to hold small hand tools used during cabinet installation ( chisels ,screwdrivers, mallets and small hammers, block plane, end cutters, etc]. It is not perfect, but it works well enough so far. That being said it is not easy to find an ideal bag for this kind of work, and this one does the job pretty well. Here is what I have found about it. It is small enough to fit in cabinets and keep out of the way, and hold the necessary tools. Because of its size I have cut my tool set down to what I use and eliminated clutter, though if this same bag was offered in a 1-3 inch longer length I would have opted for that because hammers and mallets would fit the tote better. The bag is open, allowing me to easily locate and access tools, not having to root around in a dark hole full of little pockets. This also helps to be able to easily take a quick inventory of my tools and prevent me from leaving any behind. I also really like the small parts bin that fits in the center, although its construction could be better. I suspect the plastic tabs will break of in time and it will need to be replaced long before the bag itself, but I knew that going in. It has removable partitions in one direction, and allows me to keep drill and driver bits closed organized, a real plus. The pocket that houses the bin has enough excess room to store a few long narrow tools like pry bars. A loop to secure tools on the ends of the pocket interior would be a nice addition. For that matter a narrow long deep pocket for tall skinny tools such as screw drivers and pry bars would nice. The tools are secured in the totem via loops on one side and pockets on the other. This is fairly standard. My only criticisms are that the pockets could be a little deeper to better support taller tools. Maybe have various widths for wide and narrow tools. Same for the loops. Also the loop band could be wider, or mounted lower to help prevent tools from slipping through . For the most part I quite satisfied with this bag. It was inexpensive (and offered at a lower price the day after I purchased it) and expected I would be replacing it at some point. The quality and construction are good, as has been with all CLC bags I've owned, and it works fairly well. Again for the type of work I do it is hard to find a perfect bag, but this is serving me well. Everyone's tool set varies, and this one works pretty well for mine. I did not proof read, don't judge.

Crafters: this case isn't just for handy-persons!
I am an avid arts & crafts person - crochet, knitting, beading, etc., and I was trying to find a way to organize all my little notions & odds and ends. For years, I've been using small cases: pencil cases, boxes, ziptop bags, to hold my stuff. I could never find my stuff, and had to re-buy items, only to find it at the bottom of my craft stash after my project was done! If you can find a decent organizer at a crafts store, they're using really small and expensive. No one wants to spent upwards to $150 for a poorly constructed arts caddy, even if it's got pretty decorations on it! I stumbled onto this case through another search, and thought I would try it. Worst case scenario, we can put our extra tools in it! I was so pleased with the construction of this tool case - strong canvas, solid straps, plenty of pockets and loops that can hold scissors without the fear of poking through and damaging the case. There's quite a bit of room in here without being overly cumbersome, The organizer in the middle is of much higher quality than the crummy ones you get at the crafts store, and are great for little pieces you've collected but don't know how to store. It's also a great way to transport your stuff if you belong to crafting meetup groups. I brought this case with me recently and so many of my fellow crafters love the idea and are planning on getting cases for themselves! Bottom line: great organizer for your craft items, and although it's just plain black, I'm sure that resourceful crafters can personalize it with fabric paints, embellishments, appliques, etc. Personally, I like it how it is, and want to let my fellow crafters know that this is an alternative to the overpriced junk you might find at your local craft store!

Lots of space, great bag
Has been a great tool bag for me, it gets daily use as a maintenance tech. I love all the spaces and the clear plastic organizer. Great price for the storage. Would recommend.

Nearly perfect toolbag that is very much worth the money.
This tool bag is nearly perfect. The canvas material is very dense and durable. Lots of storage space and impressive construction quality. The storage bin is great. Has removable dividers so you can expand the compartments horizontally. Great for longer items that don't fit perfectly in the squares. The only gripe I have is for the screwdriver slots. It has non elastic straps so larger screwdriver handles are a very snug and difficult fit, while smaller screwdrivers feel like they can fall through at any time. Also, there is no slots or pockets for the tips of the screwdrivers to slide into, so they constantly twist around or get snagged on things. To remedy this the bag has a stiff flap that is meant as the lining for the bottom of the side compartments. I have it folded up to cover the tips of the screwdrivers for that side of the bag. Not a huge deal but the sturdiness and support for that side of the bag is now reduced because I am using it to protect the tips of screwdrivers rather than the bottom of the bag. I'm definitely happy with the purchase, but just those two things keep this from being a positively perfect product.

Great Quality
I bought this tool bag 6 year ago and it’s been used basically every day since. In my opinion it could still be used, I just came across another style that I happened to like better. Great quality Easy to lug around if you’re in a field where you have to carry tools around frequently. It’s got some wear and tear don’t get me wrong but this is 6 years of hard use. I’m not one who’s the easiest on my stuff and this has been tossed around in the truck a handful of times. The shoulder strap clips held up fine as did the handles There is one clip that did break shortly after I bought it which is pictured. Part of the bag did tear at one point (pictured) Overall for the amount of use and abuse this bag took I give it 5 stars.

Great all purpose tool bag
I’m a handyman who does property maintenance. I got this bag because the bucket boss I was using kept falling over in my car. This sits low and has not tipped at all. It does not hold quite as many tools but the layout makes it very easy to find what I’m looking for. The shoulder strap is great, since I frequently have my hands full going to and from the car. I like the metal clip for the tape measure and the center tray keeps the screws etc from getting lost in the bottom of the bag. I wish there were a few more “pencil” pockets for things like center punches and drill bits but I’ve been able to work around that. Overall quality is very good and I expect to use this for years.

Sturdy, well thought out and easy access/visibility of what ...
Just got this and, as I have a tool fetish, I just had to organize it. First impressions are: Sturdy, well thought out and easy access/visibility of what you are carrying. Easily carries a wide array of general use tools. Currently, it contains: Large Lineman's Pliers, Large Channel Locks, Small Channel Locks 10" Straight tip Needle Nose, 10" 45 degree Needle Nose, 8" Needle Nose, 6" Diagonal Cutters, 3 pairs of Precision cutters, 2 8" Flat Tips, 2 8" Phillips, 1 Snap-on 10" Electrical Screwdriver, Milwaukee Multi-bit Ratcheting and Stanley Stubby Multi-bit Ratcheting Screwdrivers with screw tips and nut drivers, 1 Stubby Phillips, 2 Precision Screwdrivers, Tool Roll with 3/8" -3/4" and 9 -17MM Combination Wrenches, 1 SK 1/4 " Drive Set W/Case. 10" Adjustable Wrench, Multimeter, Voltage Detector, Drywall Saw, Brickmold Chisel, 20oz. Estwing Framer, 14" Prybar, Retractable Utility Knife, Gerber Multi-Tool, 16ft Milwaukee Tape and 72" Folding Rule, IXo Cordless screwdriver, Electrical tape and Duct tape, 3 Sharpies and there is room for more, including a 1/2" Cordless Drill Driver/Impact. My only beefs are with the Storage Box is that the compartments are fixed size. No problem, I have a Plano to use in place of it, if I so desire. A neat feature of this bag. The other is just my impression that, while the shoulder strap is sturdy, the hardware appears a bit on the flimsy side. I have a fix for that, should it be a problem in the future. This is replacing a Bucket Boss Gatemouth that is just not as easily accessible as this bag is. Very happy so far. Perfect bag for the home improver/designated fix-it guy.

Great tool bag
Great bag. Excellent quality and perfect size. Not too big or small. Only gripe is that the straps inside the big compartments are a bit small for anything. I mean the straps to keep certain tools upright. At least for me, they are useless. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. update: After using this bag for some time. I am retiring it as a main bag and re purposing it as a gadget bag. Too small, just does not work as an everyday tool bag. It collapses in on itself. Tools get caught. May work for others but not for the tools that I use regularly.
