A Neat Treat
Iโll be honest - I bought these for the fun of it and because I was bored. It seemed like a good deal, and the reviews for it were pretty good. I wasnโt disappointed!! There are many ways to make these, which you can see in the other reviews, but the instructions say that you can either put them in a 1000w toaster oven for 2-3 minutes, or boil them in water for 2 minutes. I dont have a toaster oven, so I had to boil them. If you boil them, theyโre VERY chewy and soft. I have temporomandibular joint dysfunction (ironically a mouthful lol) and these didnโt bother my sensitive jaw at all - bless! But I still take small bites to avoid any trouble (like I do with every food). If you threw them in an oven or toaster oven, theyโd probably be crunchy - crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, is how theyโre supposed to be that way. Mind you, this is a Japanese product and everything on the packaging is in Japanese. I speak a fair amount of Japanese, so it wasnโt much of an issue for me, but if you donโt, try to keep that in mind ^^ I would recommend online translators like google translate ONLY as a last resort!! You can always google different ways to eat mochi. When I tried mine for the first time, I ate them plain to get a sense of how they would taste. They kind of taste like white rice, but a bit different. Once, i doused white sugar on them and it added, naturally, a bit of sweetness to it, and I didnโt have any complaints. I havenโt done much with them since because I havenโt been home, but Iโm excited to try other (and more properly Japanese) ways to eat them. On a side note, my order arrived earlier than expected and it was package nicely, and I have to commend the seller for following up with an email personally. I think that was a nice touch and I can certainly appreciate that! Would love to order again.

Favorite snack!
I grew up eating these with my Japanese friend and when I happened upon these on here I rushed to buy them. Oh the memories that came flooding back! Not only are these delicious but they are a great price! They came in good shape and didnโt lose quality during shipping. I love to air fry them!

I love these mochi cakes!!
Read reviews, all were good. I love anything chewy or glutinous so these were perfect for me. The bag comes with eight individual pieces and each piece is scored, making four small pieces. They are very easy to break apart so that wonโt be a problem. The easiest way to cook them which probably isnโt the traditional way, is microwaving them. They took literally 25-30 seconds. I noticed when I kept the mochi cake whole, 30 seconds made it completely flatten out which is still fine and edible. If you break it up, the 30 seconds will still keep their shape (for the most part) and itโs gooey in the middle. Either way, it just depends on how you like it. I ate 3 of them and they were yummy. They literally have no flavor to me. So I wrapped nori around it and dipped in soy sauce. So good! Just be careful once youโre done cooking them, they are hot! Seriously. And remember, they are very very chewy. Youโll chew for hours (lol, just kidding). Fun food to eat for sure.

Good
Kiri mochi is good in red bean soup or just by itself. It needs to be eaten while hot, though. An issue if you have nekojita (like me). Love the texture.

Enjoy for a Snack
If you enjoy eating plain mochi, you would appreciate this package. Each rectangular mochi is packaged separately. I enjoy these with sugar and soy sauce or soy sauce and wrapped in nori/sea weed after I soften them in microwave for approximately 25 seconds.

Just like I thought it would be
It was my first time ordering this after watching Japanese Style Originator on Netflix. It was delivered very quick. Price is okay considering you got 8 individual small package I think. However, since I dont have an oven toaster, I tried to use regular baking oven at first but it failed to cook it. It was not helping that the entire package all were in Japanese, altho using google translate kinda helped out to figure out other way to cook it besides using oven toaster. We boiled it in water for 2 min and put it in microwave for a bit. Altho I honestly believe that we can just boil it for longer time too. It get softer, stretchy and chewy just like how it suppose to be. I made my own sweet red bean soup and it tasted pretty good with it as a dessert. I might buying it again so I can explore more possibility to cook it with until I get to try a real and fresh japanese mochi :)

In heaven!! Chewy perfect hot little white rice cakes mmm
Heat for 6 or 7 minutes in an oven at 350, then dip in coconut aminos (shoyu for those who eat soy). There are lots of other ways to eat these, you can find on google the popular ways in Japan, and many people put them in miso soup. I never leave reviews but I was so happy to find these. I went to the huge Asian store here in Phoenix (LeeLee's) and did not find these. So people giving fewer stars because of the price, hey, that's not fair. I would pay this price because you can't find this anywhere. They taste like rice, duh. It's sweet to me, but I eat no sugar - those with sugar palates won't find this sweet. Consistency is what makes them so awesome. Crispy outside and the chewy center like a thick marshmallow or melty mozzarella cheese. I am in heaven!!! They are individually wrapped for freshness and scored into four. I put them apart on a small piece of tinfoil in a pan in the oven. It's so hard to wait for them to cool to eat them!
