Simer 2925B Sump/Laundry Sink Pump

Working great so far as a laundry room lift pump for our basement. A tad bit noisy but no worse than our sump pump. Ours is installed on the floor next to the washer and slop sink and pumps about 8 feet up to connect to another 2 inch drain pipe that leads out of the house. Install was pretty easy and I like that it is completely self contained. Trickiest part of the install was finding a place to run the vent pipe. Once that was figured out for my install (we tied into the vent pipe for our basement sewage ejector). The rest of it was straight forward.

We have had this unit for a couple of years now. I wanted a sloppy sink in the basement and it works great. No issues at all.

I bought this several months ago while I was finishing an apartment in my basement for the sink. I had a plumber install it and he said that the installation was very basic. It has worked great and does not make much noise at all.

The very first thing you need to do is get this thing out of the package and make sure the pump works. The pump will have the float pre-installed and it will be held by a small pin where they meet. Plug in the pump and push the float up. if the pump doesn't turn on your pump is defective. This was the case with mine and it was very frustrating to get to the very end to find that out especially now that the pump is full of water. From here out I'm going to give bulleted instructions because the ones included stink. I had a a leftover rubber washer that I could not figure out where it goes. So it is not included in these instructions. -Screw in the little conical filter piece into the pump. -Install the rubber o-ring on top of the conical filter. -Install the included white pipe. -Place the pump into the bottom housing and orient it so the white pipe is in one of the corners. -Leave that assembly for now. -Put the top cover upside down. -Put the rubber gasket onto the top cover. The instructions say to line up the alignment cleats, but mine had no- markings on the gasket or the housing. -Insert the screws from the underside through the top housing and through the rubber gasket. -Flip the top cover over and align it so the inlet is closest to the white pipe. This is the only time I would -recommend referencing the instructions as it has a decent picture. -Use a drill with a clutch to screw in the screws. I set mine to 10 out of 20. They are very very tight. -Put five wraps of thread tape on your connector that goes into the inlet, outlet, and vent. -Connect to your existing system. -Function test the unit. I Hope this helps somebody install this unit. I probably wouldn't buy this one again just because the first one was dead on arrival and I can't speak to the longevity of it but once installed it did function and did not leak.

High quality and strong structure. Been pumping for years now.

The price was better than Home Depot. The water flow works good. The fit is good. I hope the lifespan is more than Home Depot only get about two years out of Home Depot.

This product is great and works like a champ. Easy to install. All you need few fittings for 1 1/2 pvc pipes all 3 pipes are 1 1/12. We don't have a sink for our laundry down the basement so I need a sum pump to pump the water out to sewer. So here it is I installed the sink, the hose from the laundry goes into the sink and from the sink to sump pump.

Works well, not overly loud. Glad they went to stainless bolts now. My old one rusted shut.

Works great for a basement washer. The pump is plenty strong and the container is sturdy. The outlet pipe is a little hard to align. You will have to get all the fittings and piping to connect this.

I bought a Simer 2925B laundry/sink pump from Lowes10 years ago and it a great job so when it started to fail, I was happy to find that it was still available for replacement. I'm trusting this one will also last 10 years.

Quite easy to fit using standard ABS pipe from local merchant. Assembles easily. we use it for a basement kitchen sink. I think an external filter would be useful, to stop solid items such as vegetable peelings etc from entering its chamber.

Good product quality, easy to assemble and install but could use a better installation guide for completing the system
