These polishes are great! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who does their nails! The price is right and the product is professional quality!! The polish applies to the nail beautifully, evenly. I love the colors in this set because I enjoy doing nail art on my nails, and this kit provides every color I need to have fun doing that!! At an affordable price too! I'm so glad I came across this product on Amazon because I needed new nail polish but didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for it! After reading all the good reviews on this kit, I decided to give them a try. So glad I did! The polish also dries within a decent amount of time which is huge for me since I love doing nail art work--I don't want to be there all day waiting for the polish to dry! The only con that I can think of for this product is that I wish it would last a little longer on the nails, but even that isn't a big deal because I did my nails a week ago today and my manicure still looks decent. And I waited to right my review on this product a week later on purpose so I could report back on how long the manicure looks nice. Using a good base and top coat also help with the longevity of any manicure. Again, love this product! I have looked at the Shany Cosmetics website and have been very impressed with the pricing on all their products, and I'm thinking about getting their pastel kit of nail polish because the price is right and I now know the product is good too!!!

If your looking for more bang for your $$buck Shany Cosmetics is the way to go. Nails is my thing. I do hair as well, but I prefer nails. I know nail polish. I tried out most of the colors on sample designs I've made. It's good for overall color as well as nail art. It stripes well. It's not too thick or clumpy or dried out. It's the perfect consistency. It dries fairly quick. This is the perfect set of colors. It has your very popular neon colors. Shiny colors. Solid everyday colors. Your white and black. All different pinks. I initially thought before I ordered this product that since it was so affordable, that it would come and be crappy product. I was amazed when I received it & started trying the different colors out, that the product was professional grade. I've bought nail polishes for a fourth of the cost of this product for one 2oz bottle and it ended up being really crappy polish, but Shany Cosmetics has me blown out of the water. I also ordered the 32 Watt UV lamp. the bulbs are easy to place in & it cures my gel sets perfectly :) I may have found my new cosmetics supplier. I just need to try out their makeup palette's now that I know their product is affordable but not cheap or crappy.

I’m a skeptic when it comes to nail polish. My nails are oily, and polish usually chips within 1-2 hours of light housework/activity, even with light buffering to remove the shine. I have yet to find any nail polish, (including expensive brands), that stay on my fingernails. I bought these, despite my major hesitation. I cannot say a single thing bad about them. It’s true, about 3 of the colors (fluorescent green, fluorescent yellow, and the softer pink color) are pretty sheen. They will need more coats, and even after multiple coats, are still a little sheen for my taste, but I have yet to find a brand that you don’t have to coat several times, when it comes to these specific colors. Those colors are great for little kids, bc they are a lot more subtle, especially on a child under 5. My 3yr old loves the yellow (see pic). I did have to use 2 coats, but when I added sparkles, it made it perfect. It’s now 36hrs later, and there isn’t a single chip or imperfection in my nails at all. The pictures I’ve added are 36hrs after painting, and they look just as great as the day I painted them. The packaging was nice, if you want to keep them more organized, or if you’re disorganized (as I am) you can put them all in a single makeup bag. Brushes are nice, and the polish is thin and non-clumpy. I recommend this brand 100%, and for me, it was a nice replacement of the crap nail polishes I’ve had for 16+ years.

I was looking for some cheap and variety of nail polish colors that I could use to test out designs and wear for only a few days. This nail polish suffices that but it isn't anything special. I like the wide variety of colors however some of the colors kind of repeat, such as there are two yellow and two light pinks which look like they are almost exactly the same colors. I would have prefer a very deep red along with a sparkly red. Some of the colors go on nicer and thicker than others where are some go on very thin, either way you need two coats as you do for most nail polishes. Some of the polishes are also a bit watery-er than I would have liked. One thing about this polish that is an absolute necessity is using a high quality base coat and top coat. One should always use these when painting their nails but it's particularly necessary for these. O.P.I makes a fantastic base coat and Seche makes a great top coat. Both are available here on amazon and I highly recommend them. A base coat protects your natural nail but importantly with these polishes it allows the coat to go on more smoothly. Without a base coat the polish just looks so lump and does not go on smoothly. The polish also has a matte finish which is where is you need a nice top coat (two coats of a top coat). The one other thing I'm not a huge fan of with these nail polishes is the fast drying aspect. Fast drying is always desirable however this polish is too fast drying for it's own good. When trying to apply the nail polish sometimes it will dry somewhat while your applying it making it lumpy and stringy. My personal favorite nail polish brand (and what I feel is the best available) is China Glaze. However it is around $6 a bottle and can not be bought in packs. For the very cheap price of these bottles and that they're full sized they're good.

I have been working on different nail designs lately (thanks to the wonders of Pinterest...) and was looking for a set of nail colors with a large variety that were actually of good quality. I could not have made a better choice! This arrived in two days, and I have nothing but praise for this! It came in perfect packaging, I was worried that it would have been a little more fragile with so many containers of glass nail polish, but it arrived with each nail polish snuggled neatly in it's own little hole, a clear plastic box, a brown box, some of those big "bubble" fillers, and another big box. Not even a single nail polish was out of place, and I was very pleased with that. The quality: The first thing I did was open one up to see how thick it would be, if it had a strong odor, and what the brushes looked like. I can honestly say that this is the exact same quality you would get from the drugstore that you would pay $5 or more for each, easily. For the price and quality, this is simply an amazing value, I know I'm about to sound like a huge nerd, but I was so excited when I first opened this, I took it over to my neighbor's house. We are pretty close friends, and often hang out and do our nails together. They were just as excited as I was, and we are planning a get-together soon to look at nail ideas and try them out. Overall, great buy-will definitely buy again if needed! This has all kinds of great colors, and I couldn't be more happy that I decided to purchase this. Hannah Booth

I don't understand all the bad reviews. Here's my take on the set. I'm a nail tech and I grabbed this set so I could meddle around with new designs when I have free time at home. It's also a plus since no one at work can make fun of me with my crazy ideas. Since these colors are brand new, they are very runny, may get harder to apply and need to get 3 coats for some colors to shine. But that's to be expected for any new colors, regarding the brands, really. If a nail color is getting old, you'll find the thick consistency, and/or the bottle get harder to open. I think for the price, it's a decent set for beginners. Definitely 5 stars. But of course there are bad colors, you can do nothing about it. Because some colors need a lot of mixing to turn out that shade. And it really takes a toll on the consistency/color itself. So just really throw that bottle away and move on. I wouldn't pay $9-18 bucks per bottle at a store and you barely use it. If you do the math, you'll pay a whole lot more for 24 bottles picked up individually. And that excludes gas money. If you want to practice something at home, or don up here and there when the need arises, having something at the ready is nice. Just have to let them marinate for a week or two before first use because I wouldn't want to use runny colors.

I received my package today. One of the bottles was broken in half spilling all the polish everywhere. Not that big of a deal because it was the red color which I already have. It was annoying because the spilled polish caused some of the other bottles to be "glued" to the package. So it took a little bit of time to get the bottles out. That being said, I received my package in a timely fashion. The colors are beautiful and are what is in style right now. I painted my toes using the white and it took two coats which is pretty standard. It looks nice and shiny. If you're looking for ok quality nail polish then this is a good set. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the packaging problem. Update 5/2/13 I've been alternating between these polishes and some of my other brands and I even though I love the colors and the prices of the Shany, the quality is seriously lacking in comparison with Sally Hansen and the like. I had to take another staff off for that. When I use it to paint my toes, if you don't look at them too closely they look fine. But then you get up close and you can see lines and cracks as if I didn't wait enough time to let it dry even though I do. No matter how much fanatical care I take to ensure a perfect pedicure, this happens everytime. Again, from far away ok, but just don't look at my feet close up. Still love the colors, just don't love the quality. I wish I could give it a 2.5 stars, but oh well.

I purchased the SHANY Cosmopolitan DIY Nail Polish set for some of the individuals at work. I work at a day habilitation program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Some of the ladies like to have their nails polished and this polish set was really a hit! There are 24 beautiful, vibrant colors of polish in the set we purchased, and the ladies are having fun mixing and matching, and having their nails done for the holidays. This is a fun activity to do with our individuals, and they are always so happy with the results. The nail polish dries quickly and looks beautiful.

Perfect coverage on the nail with only one coat required. A great range of beautiful, bright colours. Definite great buy.
