Also great for gardening and sawing through roots right in the dirt...
I don't remember exactly what project I bought this saw for, but i've been using it quite a bit in my back yard! The teeth are great and it saws quickly. I have been trying to plant a lot lately and i have too many roots in my back yard from the previous owner. I just stick this saw in the ground (of course knowing there aren't any pipes in the area!) and saw on through the pesky roots...I have used this saw more than my other hand saws for other odd projects as well. Comfortable and a great tool - even after using this saw on ALL KINDS of stuff, teeth are still running strong...

Best Weeder Ever!!
I am battling acres of mustard, and thistles. This is the best tool I have found to uproot them. Jab the knife-sharp slender point alongside the roots, push, and twist, and out pops the whole thing. The blade has the right balance of strength and flexibility, and very 'grabby' saw-teeth, to uproot some very stubborn weeds. Comfortable grip, with a big enough handle to lean into. Mine is holding up very well after a couple months of grubbing in the gravel. I just bought a second one for backup

Cuts soo good!
I am no pro at this kind of stuff, but after reading online on how to install a low voltage bracket, they recommended using a dry wall saw, and WOW it made my work so much easier. This thing cut through the dry wall with ease, it seemed to even keep a straight line on its own. I had some trouble with one side of my wall, there was a double slab of dry wall but one seemed to be like concrete, maybe because of how old it was? Either way this tool cut through it with little effort. The grip is nice, the blades are sharp and the pointed tip did help to make the first incision. I can't compare this saw to any other, but for me it did what it needed to do perfectly.

Fantastic little tool
Purchased this saw to shorten the legs on a pair of beautiful leather dining chairs that I don't use because they are just a little too high to be comfortable. As an apartment dweller I had no need for a hack saw or hand saw, this seemed like the perfect compromise. Worked easily and quickly cutting through the thick wooden legs and producing a straight cut meaning no wobble in my chairs. The only thing keeping this item from a 5 star is that it ought to have come with some kind of sheath for storage, even just a flimsy plastic cover would be enough as storing it without a covering would be dangerous. I am now cobbling together a little cardboard sleeve for it. I am happy to add this to my kit of vital tools.

The best of the best little jab sow
The best of the best little jab sow. I have about 10 old versions of this product from all kinds of different makers and they are all going in the donation pile. This puppy is SHARP, cuts smooth and works like a bone saw ! I can see myself buying more of them just to have available for non-construction use. I would love to see a version that has a bit longer handle where the blade folds into itself. It would need a positive locking mechanism that was easy to use but that would better protect the blade from damage and fingers in the toolbox. They could call it the FatMax Jab Convertible :) Nice job Stanley.

Like a hot knife through butter... well, almost.
Today was the first time I've had an opportunity to use this since purchasing it a few months ago. The point is extremely sharp, which makes it easy to start your cut from exactly where you need to. The teeth easily and fairly cleanly cut through the dry wall and with a bit of practice nice neat holes were possible. In comparison to a cheaper Walmart purchase the Stanley was so much easier to pierce the drywall without force needing to be applied to the butt of the handle. I can imagine that after making several utility socket holes in drywall the Stanley will be much easier on your hands than something cheaper with less of an extreme spike at the tip. Did just what I needed and much easier than a cheaper alternative.

Great Product
Needed to cut 8 holes into the ceiling drywall over the garage to install some new electrical outlets for more lighting. Saw this product here on Amazon and read the other reviews and made the purchase. This saw worked great!! Stiff blade went right through the drywall with minimal effort and made my chore a lot easier. The stiff blade is easier to keep on the cut line as well as it doesn't flex and "wander". You could use this saw as a weapon if needed!!! Worked great for me.

Great Tool
This thing handles dry wall amazingly well. Can punch through and saw without much effort. Before I got this I would use a hack saw to cut PVC and ABS piping. This saw made better cuts on the pipe for me than the hack saw did, though it took a little more effort to saw. This probably means I need a better hack saw, but it also shows the quality and versatility of this jab saw. Saw also cuts wood just fine if you ever need to cut something you can't get at with a more appropriate saw.

Great drywall knife
I've never met a Stanley product that I didn't like. The Stanley name may not have the same cachet as other tool brands, but their products are always workhorses that seem to last for a long time. This tool is no exception. For a drywall knife it has a great design (one made in France no less), and works well to do cutouts and the like on drywall.

Poor Quality
I liked how my product was delivered pretty quickly. But at closer examination the blades were scratched and looks as if it was used. The tip of the blade was sharp but it was as if someone used a sharpening tool to make the tip look as if it was brand new.
