Exceeded my expectations!
Well designed. Well built from quality materials. Now I see why this is the performing musician’s preferred seat. I was able to quickly and easily adjust the height to where I wanted it. No instructions come with the seat and X bar legs, but there are two sets of holes and corresponding spring -loaded “bolts” to go into the holes. Super simple. Height is adjusted based on which of the 4 holes the 2 bolts are placed in. Fir instance, I chose one outer hole and one inner hole which modified the angle of the X legs. On-Stage also has hood written instructions on their website. A superior musician’s bench. In addition to using it with my harp, I’ll be using it at my nearby computer desk. Most office chairs do not fir my short back and the seat pans are too large. This bench is exceptionally comfortable - lots of foam/ so it will be pressed into double duty..

just right...
First of all, received this chair lightning fast - like < 2 days w/free shipping. It must have been in a warehouse real close to here. As always, I read all the reviews on this thing. You wouldn't think that necessary with something rated almost 5 starts and only a 30-buck investment, but I like to see what the people have to say who rate it 3 stars or less. I have to agree with the 5-star people and the comments that have already been written by them, though I cannot speak to longevity. I weigh a little over 200 pounds, but when I sit on this bench it supports me well and doesn't have the type of give that lets me know my rear will be hurting within a few minutes. Very firm, but enough give to probably be comfortable for an extended period of time. I haven't given it a couple hour practice session yet, but you can kinda tell how something is gonna perform based on your first few minutes. I'll update if it proves to not hold up for an extended session. Assembly is quite easy, adjustment really shouldn't be an issue unless you are adjusting it on a regular basis and fully tightening it every time. And by "issue", I mean something that takes much time: it is not difficult to adjust at all. You have the "option" of not tightening the legs once they are in position, and this would make adjustment actually faster. To be clearer on what I mean, the legs form a "T" at the top just as they do at the bottom, and at the ends of the T's are spring-loaded pins that lock into place in your choice of holes in a two rails on the seat bottom. There are four screws that allow you to hand-tighten these pins into place once they spring into position, but you don't really HAVE to tighten them for the pins to still stay in place. I am not ADVISING that you don't tighten them (I did), but if you had to frequently adjust the height of the chair, I imagine that not tightening them would be tempting, and would speed up the adjustment process. I don't see how they would pop out even without being tightened unless you were like subjecting the chair to some kind of unusual stress or like rocking it back and forth and causing the legs to kinda twist. This bench is VERY sturdy (probably more sturdy than the old wooden bench I used to sit on as a kid with our upright piano), but anything that is adjustable is OBVIOUSLY not going to be as sturdy as something that is permanent. As for the width of the chair, it has sufficient space for pretty much any adult. There is little space left over when I sit on it, but probably 2 smaller kids could use it. Anyone who thinks two bigger people could fit on this must be sitting back-to-back length-wise. I am not extraordinarily wide and it is spacious, but this is a one-adult bench.

Comfort and Stability for Musicians
The On-Stage KT7800+ Bench has been a fantastic addition to my musical setup, providing comfort and stability during long practice sessions and performances. As a musician, having a reliable and comfortable bench is essential, and this product delivers on both fronts. The first thing that impressed me about this bench is its sturdy construction. The heavy-duty X-style frame and double-braced design give it excellent stability, ensuring that it stays securely in place while I play. Even during more vigorous playing, the bench remains steady, providing me with the confidence I need to focus on my music. The cushioned seat is incredibly comfortable, even during extended practice sessions. The thick padding provides ample support for my back and legs, preventing any discomfort or strain. The black vinyl cover is not only durable but also easy to clean, which is a big plus for me as I use it regularly. Adjustability is another standout feature of the On-Stage KT7800+ Bench. With three height settings, I can easily find the perfect height that suits my playing style and preference. The quick and secure adjustment mechanism ensures that the bench remains in place at the desired height throughout my practice. The bench's compact and foldable design is also worth mentioning. When not in use, it folds down easily and can be stored in a small space, making it ideal for musicians with limited room in their practice area or for those who frequently travel for gigs. The assembly process was straightforward, and all the necessary hardware was included. Within minutes, I had the bench ready to use, which was a relief as I was eager to try it out. Overall, the On-Stage KT7800+ Bench has exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort, stability, and adjustability. It has become an essential part of my musical setup, providing the support I need during practice and performances. Whether you're a professional musician or a hobbyist, I highly recommend this bench for its quality and value.

Good bench, a little tricky to put together
This bench is what it looks like - a comfortable x-style keyboard bench. This will go nicely with a stage piano or smaller digital piano, such as my Korg SP-280 . Of course, you can use this anywhere you want to sit down, but it’s intended for use with a piano. This is a quite nice piano bench, comfortable like you might expect a fancy Steinway concert bench to be, but with a much more utilitarian look and much coarser height adjustment. I find it perfectly comfortable for fairly long playing sessions, but it doesn't compress so much that I’d worry about heavier players hitting the hard platform at the bottom of the cushion. A mild annoyance is that when I assembled it, its legs were enough off from the holes on the bottom of the bench that I had to use a pair of wrenches to loosen the legs a bit to get the pins to lock into place. Now that the initial setup is out of the way, it seems plenty sturdy. This is not a great choice if you expect to adjust it frequently; even without the misalignment, the design makes it inherently difficult to adjust. All in all, this is a solid keyboard bench that does what it claims to do - holds your weight so you can work on your piano technique.

Solid Product
Very good quality and comfortable; it's simple. To be honest I'm more delighted that they somehow put my favorite candies in their gift bag in the package.

Awesome Bench - Exceeds My Expectations!
I'm a fussy guy, so I did a LOT of research before I decided on this bench and I couldn't be happier as it suits my needs ideally. I am a multi-keyboardist, so I need a bench that can be low for piano, medium for organ and high (and not wobbly) for a keyboard on a non-adjustable Z-stand - check (19-25"). I need a bench that will support at least 200 pounds with headroom for my winter weight - check (340 pounds). I wanted a bench with a flat seat and plenty of padding - check (3"). A wide bench would be nice - check (23-1/2"). I want quick and easy adjustment, setup and take-down - this bench takes just seconds for each of these - check. I want a bench that adjusts on both sides, not just one side which leaves me feeling like I'm sitting on a diving board like my last bench - check. I want a light-weight bench that is affordable - check. This was the only bench that met all of my criteria and it only cost a few more dollars to go really deluxe. So this bench is sturdy, heavy duty, rock soild at all heights, light, easy to adjust AND affordable. Fast delivery was a plus. In short, whatever your needs may be in an adjustable bench, this one will do the job and you will be one happy camper.

Out the box Great
This is a great wide piano bench. It is very sturdy and the cushion is firm out of the box. I personally like that because it may get a little softer with use. It is super easy to put together and it does fold flat. This is a perfect complement to my keyboard setup.
