Effective & relatively inexpensive replacement for the grossly overpriced Kenmore factory filter.
This is my second, different aftermarket water/ice filter purchase for our Kenmore refrigerator. The first was by a different aftermarket manufacturer over a year ago, & cost about the same. Those filters gave an after-taste to the water/ice dispensed after a month of use. This Aquacrest filter leaves the water perfectly neutral & vividly clear & tasteless. Since this is a new filter, I cannot comment on just how long this filter is effective. But I will when I replace it with a second one. It is well constructed, was quite simple to install, & leakless. Just be sure to fill it with water before installation & then run at least a gallon of water through the filter before using. This removes all air bubbles that cause distracting noises as the ice maker does its "thing." There were NO charcoal particles or discoloration that flushed through when purging the filter of air. THIS filter is an Amazon Choice.

Excellent exact fit. There is no such thing as a double life filter. When it's time to change it, it's time to change it. This product, and this brand is the most economical for that purpose.

Works just as good as the brand name
I have a hisense fridge and this fits my fridge. It doesn't look like the hisense water filter, but it works the same and it costs less. The water quality taste good and was easy to replace. It has the same water flow as the name brand one!
