These are amazing!
Oh my god, I LOVE these! These really do work without pie weights or using beans. I no longer have bean indentations to deal with. I heard about these from Matt Adlard (The Topless Baker) on YouTube and Instagram, and he swears by them. The little nubs that come from the perforation on the outside come off just with a slight touch up your finger. I purchased from two different sellers so I’m not sure which one this is. Both of them worked out fine the original purchase was from DeBuyer, which was a French product.

Great product, inconsiderate labeling
The product itself is great, but I took off a star because each ring has a label glued to it. After the first label would not remove cleanly I soaked the rings. This made no difference in removing the label without glue and paper remaining on the ring. So I will need to use goo remover. It seems to me entirely unnecessary and inconsiderate to the customer to slap on these annoying labels.

Very Happy with this Tart Ring
I really enjoy French Pastry Tarts and this ring is perfert if you are looking for a well-balanced pastry with a crisp crust. Nothing is worse than a soggy crust for that perfect tart and this ring allows you to make your tart to perfection. The ring cleaned well and did not clog in the perforations. I would recommend baking this tart ring on a parchment lined baking sheet to ensure there is no warping of the tart. I would highly recommend.

Ovalized - not worth it
I paid TWENTY-SEVEN dollars plus taxes for this. It should have arrive in a cardboard box with foam insert to protect its shape. Instead it’s badly ovalized because it came in a soft plastic bag along with other items in my order. What a fail. I will send it back right away. Isn’t this French manufacturer ashamed to sell their stuff unprotected like this?

Beautiful
Good quality ring. Enjoyed baking in it. The only minus is that the seller shipped the ring in the bag instead of the box. The ring bent a little during the shipping. Will buy more if it will be be shipped in the box.

Uno strumento di pasticceria davvero utile per preparare crostate
Questo stampo ad anello perforato è largo poco più di 15 cm ed ha una altezza di 2 cm, è uno strumento di pasticceria che ho acquistato qualche tempo addietro ed ancora perfettamente funzionante che utilizzo per preparare la frolla della crostate. Lo stampo è fatto in metallo con foratura che serve per dare una maggiore uniformità di cottura rispetto agli anelli lisci, mi trovo molto bene ed i risultati sono più che buoni. Siccome non ha fondo bisogna utilizzare un tappetino microforato o carta da forno, inoltre non è adatto ad impasti liquidi. E' uno strumento che mi è sembrato semplice ma ben progettato per ottenere delle crostate esteticamente e tecnicamente ottime.

Perfect!
Fantastic tart ring. Perfect for making contemporary tarts and shortbread bases. No need to dock the dough before baking due the perforated nature of the rings. They also allow steam to escape efficiently. They are sturdy and built to withstand the abuse of a commercial kitchen as well. I have used various shortbread recipes with these rings and I feel that a pate sablee will yield a more refined finish than the standard pate sucree. I personally recommend greasing them before use, and I also ideally recommend having a pressurised mixer tap to wash them just in case bits of pastry get stuck in the perforations. Use in conjunction with a de Buyer perforated Aluminium tray and silicone mesh (Silpain) baking mats to get the best results! Made in France

Perfetto cerchio microforato della mitica De Buyer! solido, leggero e perfettamente tondo ;) Adatto per la cottura di fondi di crostate senza l'ausilio di pesi all'interno, garantendo una perfetta uniformità del calore che oltrepassa l'impasto della frolla, grazie anche all'ausilio indispensabile di un tappetino in silicone microforata e di una teglia in alluminio anch'essa forata! Risultato: Frolle da urlo!!! Croccanti, friabili e pronte all'uso!!!!!! Consigliato!!!!!!!!

Beh che dire se volete il Top in assoluto di stampi per crostate e dolci acquistate DE BUYER. Sono stampi professionali di pasticceria studiati per realizzare cotture perfette. Lo stampo è massiccio ed è stato realizzato con un ottimo acciaio. Idea e sviluppo realizzata da una delle scuole di pasticceria e cioccolateria più importanti del mondo (L'ecole VALRHONA).
