Vortex Optics Crossfire II Second Focal Plane, 1-inch Tube Riflescopes

Great scope for the money. I purchased this after buying and returning two other similar scopes, one was a Barska, and the other was a UUQ (what was I thinking!). I was trying to save a couple of dollars. Well needless to say the Vortex was the way to go. For a few bucks more you get way better quality, clear glass, robust components and even better packaging. Also a lifetime no questions asked warranty. You get what you pay for, don't do what I did....Just get a Vortex the first time.

Not top of the line, but nowhere near the bottom either. Really good glass quality, will be buying again. I have bought a few of the "sniper" cheap azz scopes, but never again. This is a very good scope for the price. Holds zero very well, eye relief is great once set up. I have a nikon scope about the same price, but is nowhere near the quality of this one.

Great scope! The eye box is very generous and the picture is bright and crystal clear. 4-12x44 is perfect for 50 to 100 yards target shooting.

Great scope. 4 small adjustments and I was hitting bullseye. Sure you can buy a better scope for alot more money. But for hunting 250 or 300 yards you can't go wrong with this scope. Plus the glass is very clear.

I’ve been using the Vortex Optics Crossfire II (Second Focal Plane) and it’s been solid so far. Glass is clear enough for hunting and range days, holds zero, and does what it’s supposed to do. It’s not a high-end scope, but it’s also not priced like one. Adjustments aren’t super crisp, but they work fine for normal use. Eye relief is good and it feels durable. Big plus is the Vortex lifetime warranty — hard to beat for the price. Overall, good value and I’d buy it again.

Bought the scope for a remington 243 rifle for deer/hog hunting. Scope shipped quickly and arrived with plastic lens covers, a cleaning cloth and boxed well. I will be upgrading the lens covers to a flip style as the factory plastic ones with the stretch-strings I dont personally like. We installed the scope to the rifle using a set of 1” high rise Weaver brand solid steel scope rings (i prefer steel over aluminum for scope rings). We bore sighted the gun in at 25yrds and began shooting/tuning. 1/4” clicks were smooth and adjustments held up/down/left/right as we dialed in at 25yards. Once dialed, we setup out at 100yard target and within 3 shots and a few more adjustments had the gun hitting bullseye. 3 different shooters (2right hand/1left hand) using the rifle put 3 bullets within a 3” diamond pattern shooting from sand bags using Remington 110grain v-max ammo. Next we set up a deer target to practice vital shots from a sitting position using a tripod shooting stick for the gun rest. First shot was low and would have been under the deer, next 2 shots hit the heart within 2” of each other. Continued shooting proved the scope to be holding very solid. Lenses were very clear and the dead hold reticle was easy to see. We shot from the 4x zoom and adjusted out to the 12x zoom without any issues. Looking through the 12x zoom at 100yrds, we could easily see the bullet holes in the target paper. Only complaint I have (so far), the black coating on the outside of the scope seems thin, I had to break out the black sharpie and color in some scratches that were shining through, and that was after just a trip out to the farm and back, and about 3 hours worth of shooting. As Long as the scope holds true, I can deal with that for the price paid. Approximately 1 week after sighting, we went hunting and my son pulled the trigger on a buck from 75yrds away. It was a perfectly placed vital shot behind the shoulder, scope held true, meat is in the freezer.

I just ordered 3 of these scopes in the last couple weeks the viper hs-t 6x24x50 and 2 crossfire 4x12x44 and will be ordering more I'm switching to all vortex scopes they work great and are of nice quality I've had the crossfire 3x9x50 for a couple years and it is still an amazing scope

Vortex makes a really good scope. For the price the clear view you get rates up there with a Nikon.

I bought this scope to replace a Simmons 8 Point 3-9x 40mm Riflescope in a matte finish for my Ruger mini-14 stainless steel 195 series ranch rifle. What a piece of junk that Simmons 8 Point 3-9x 40mm Riflescope was. The value you are getting for this scope with its VIP warranty is just very,very hard to beat. I have it mounted on a Jack Weigand picatinny base along with medium Warne scope rings and have it set all the way back for the proper eye relief and may I say...it is night and day over the scope it is replacing. I am running a tactical ATI stock on my rifle with a custom made compensator and an Accu Strut and may I just say this scope was the missing link in order to compliment everything and tighten up the groups. The adjustable eyepiece is a great feature allowing me to focus the reticle to my eyes making it more clearly visible and the parallax is factory set for 100 yards. This scope is a definite buy for someone on a budget looking to upgrade or for someone on a limited budget looking for their first scope. You will not regret your purchase given your hunting application, target shooting or shtf/wrol load-out. This scope is value at its best.

Currently have it set up on a Gamo Big Cat 1400 psi. To be honest this scope would be better suited for a nice hunting rifle. Would be perfect for a deer hunter. But as it sits on my pellet rifle I think it out performs the gun. Works amazing. Comes with settings for all types of calibers and ranges. And can't beat the untouchable vortex warranty. This is my first vortex scope and already looking into more high powered scopes by them. Very impressed with quality of product.
