One Last Scheme
This series must be read in order. The first book is "Artemis Fowl". The second book is "The Arctic Incident". This is the third book. I can't wait to read "The Opal Deception"!Now that Artemis has both parents at home he fears he will not be able to pull off any more schemes. Especially as his father believes that they should be heroes instead of criminals. This only leaves time for one more scheme. Can Artemis pull it off without being caught by his parents? Will Spiro take the bait? What will life be like without schemes and crime? Can be handle being somewhat normal? Or will be go insane? Can someone like him truly be good?

So interesting
The genre of Artemis Fowl is fantasy. This intriguing and mysterious book puts funny with fear and murderous glee. It is futuristic fiction story that blends horror and fantasy in one combined wrap of a huge success. Juliet Butler, Butler, Artemis Fowl, and Holly are the main characters, who find themselves stuck in a tug of war between their duty to LEPrecon and thieving to save the world. Throughout the story the main characters roles are to defend justice and for one possible time become allies with one another so that they can retain their main goal; survival.I would recommend this book to those who would enjoy semi-long novels with constant action scenes. This book is action-packed and suitable for ages 9 and up. At first it did not capture my attention or interest and then as I read it, Artemis Fowl hooked me on the proverbial fishing line. This book is so interesting because Eoin Colfer, the author, made all of the characters come to life and he also made you believe that you were actually in the story. I would recommend this book to young people that would want to read excellent, intriguing literature.

Great story, great vocabulary/dialogue, needs better editing!
My son enjoys the stories in this series and his vocabulary can’t avoid expanding due to the more cerebral content of Eoin Colfer’s dialogue! I wish, however, that the editor(s) had done a better job of eliminating the errors peppering the book. This is the reason for the loss of one star. I am not an editor, proof-reader, nor an English major. I don’t expect perfection, but I would expect to notice only one or two obvious errors in a book that was supposedly scrubbed by those being paid (presumedly good money) to do so. I stopped reading each time to explain the error (and the correction that should have been made) to my son, who was reading along with me. At least it became an opportunity to teach/learn.

Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code (My Kindle Review)
Artemis Fowl’s third adventure definitely offers a little something new as while facing a new change. Meanwhile, his longtime bodyguard Butler is severely injuring in a deal gone wrong and his valuable cube is stolen and must team with Holly Short yet again to retrieve it. The most compelling entry in the series yet, as it also seems like something of a new start for Artemis. <b>A- (91%/Excellent)</b>

We love the Artemis Fowl series
We love the Artemis Fowl series. It's a nice mixture of magic and reality. It's different from HP in that it's more "action" oriented. One of our favorite characters is Foaly, the tech-brilliant Centaur who helps them out of lots of pinches. We give these books a big thumbs up !

Worth the read
Artemis Fowl is a great character. He is not only complex and multi-dimensional, but you see him grow as a person from book to book. This was a fun read, and I enjoyed the adventure. DO NOT watch the movie. It fails in every way to do justice to Artemis.

"Squeeze my little toe" - The funniest of the bunch
Another thoroughly enjoyable adventure of our teenage millionaire criminal mastermind, but this time the stakes are much higher, so high that for once, one Butler just isn't enough.Artemis has used his ill-gotten fairy gadgets to create an electronic device the same size as, and a gazillion times more complex than Rubik's Cube. There's just one drawback - and of course it's a BIGGIE - it provides an access route to the Lower Elements, endangering the fairy way of life.Having accidentally handed the cube on a platter to Jon Spiro, a ruthless American businessman, Artemis is faced with the challenge of his life, but he's helpless without the good folk of Haven City - plus reinforcements. This time, Artemis needs two strong women behind him to make him look good - the fairy of his dreams, Captain Holly Short (a Sandra Bullock/Kim Possible mix) and Juliet Butler (a Lucy Liu/Uma Thurman type). Teamed with the dwarf digging sensation, and Haven City's resident centaur genius, Artemis still has to use every last ounce of his cunning and intellect to formulate a retrieval plan, while surprises lurk around every corner. Can Jon Spiro break the Eternity Code before Artemis can retrieve the cube? Can Artemis survive this last encounter? Can the LEP mind wipe make Artemis forget his friends and adventures? Can Artemis give up his life of crime and become a part of a normal family unit? The first three answers will be revealed to you as you read this book. The last? Yeah right!!There's never a dull moment in this book, and it's Colfer at his funniest.Amanda Richards, October 12, 2004

Artemis Fowl 3
I am a big fan of this series now and the third installment keeps up the excellent standard of the others. While I would say that the first book is truly outstanding on its own and neither this nor the second installment are absolutly as good at jumping off the page and grabbing your interest it is still an excellent book. I think eternity code is a turning point in the character development for the series and I must say it has left me excited to read the next book.
