Tread collects mud
I like these boots, they are comfortable and lightweight and last as long as the more expensive boots but I wish they would come without the waffle stomper soles - in Winter weather I continually have to clean the mud out of the tread before coming indoors, the ruler of the house is very adamant about that. If it is a work boot it is going to be worn in the mud - those heavy treads are not necessary for traction - if they are full of mud there is no traction.

Ok, Look. Here's the truth.
These boots are a tremendous value.Today I though I'd treat myself to a new pair of boots, since, well, my current pair is worn out. And because they lasted a decent amount of time, I decided to stick with the same brand and style, which, to my surprise, will celebrate their 4th birthday tomorrow!I wear these things almost every weekend. And virtually anytime I'm working in the garage, in the yard, on cars, around the house, you name it. I've worn them nearly every week for the last four years. And I'm not easy on them, either. So, after four years, yeah, I'm ok replacing them.Just get 'em. You won't be disappointed.

Making Old, New Again
Impressed! Yes, I am picky with my shoes. For years, I didn't care, but now I do. I have not worn this style of book in 10 years. I have purchased and worn 'day hikers' synthetic materials and each and every case after 12 to 18 months of light wear they are done. Kaput, Finished, Over and thrown out. My last pair of day hikers barely made it 18mo. I would wear them for yard work and to work [office environment] on rain or snow days. A few weeks ago when I actually wore them on a hike, the sole separated on one shoe. Using the draw string on my jacket, I was able to finish the hike with both shoes. That evening I began to shop for new boots and yes I went back to the hikers. Like a life story flash back I was quickly reminded of all of the failures. broken plastic hooks, poor stitching, sole separation, and pealing pleather. So I began looking for the boots of my childhood and BINGO I am trying something 'new' and going back to the old.I like these boots very much and I have high hopes of a great relationship ;). Kingshow uses leather uppers with a rubber sole. It appears the upper is stitched to the sole. The lugs and hooks are metal and not plastic. Out of the box they are a bit stiff and will need to be 'broken in' I've been wearing them on my dog walks and they are breaking in very nicely. I've also sprayed them with a water repellent and I believe that has helped to soften them up. My foot stands between a men's 10.5 and 11. I ordered the 11 and they fit very well. I have room for a thick sock. It is October and so I will post an update this winter. So far, two thumbs up and a smile. 8) It is early December and I remain very pleased. Used some saddle soap and mink oil on them and that helped quite a bit with the stiffness.

Best boot I've owned
Right out the box, these boots felt like they were already broken in for me. There is plenty of toe space without it feeling cavernous. As for durability, my boots go through the ringer (steelworker) and the last pair of boots I had were Carolina brand. They lasted a whole 3 days before the leather started coming off the steel toe and 2 months before the soles separated from the rest of the boot. These beauties are certainly more durable than my previous boot, not so much as a scratch yet (albeit its been one week but lasted longer than any previous I've owned). Factor in they're around half of what I pay for boots typically and you've got a winner. Will be purchasing again

Light, Cheap Boot
The place that I work is indoors, heated, and relatively clean. We are expected to wear boots. These boots are perfect for that situation. These boots probably wouldn't do so well outside in cold, wet, dirty work, and someone who expects this $35 boot to be as strong as a $100 boot will be disappointed.

4th pair
This is my 4th pair of these boots. I'm a self employed tile setter and the boots get a workout. Great for the price.

Strong enough to withstand the beating of a 12 year old boy
I bought these for my 12 year old son to wear for winter boots, since he didn't want to wear typical children's boots. He loves these! They're waterproof, real leather and surprisingly good quality!
