Glass kelp noodles
These noodles are basically the same as cheaper shirataki (konjac) noodles. Same rubbery texture and chewy chewy chewy. And I'm not talking Star Wars here. These didnt soak up the sauce at all, either. (See photos) The things they have going for them is no fishy odor or nasty taste, (they are pretty much tasteless), they are easy to prepare and are low calorie/carb. I feel they are very expensive for what I received. Alot of water weight along with the noodles. These are transparent and try as I might, I cannot get past the rubbery texture when I am craving true pasta. They are very slick and don't want to stay on a fork, however they may work perfect with chopsticks. To summarize, they are tolerable and eventually get chewed. I doubt I buy these again (I got 2 pkgs!). I will consume these though since they are pricey and too expensive for the trash or chickens. Just a note, these do need to be rinsed and then massaged in baking soda/lemon juice water to help separate and then rinsed a final time before consuming. I feel that is essential to know. It's all a matter of taste and if someone is accustomed to these, then of course, they are going to love them. It would just take some getting used to for me. Who knows? Maybe by the time I get through both bags, I will love them, as well! That is several meals down the road so I guess we will see! UPDATE 6/5/26: I am eating some of the leftovers from the stir fry from last night. The noodles are much better! They have a better texture and are not as rubbery. I will be purchasing these again! And changing the star status from 4 to 5 stars! Give them a try! But in my opinion, they are better after being cooked in your stir fry (or whatever you prepare them with) and refrigerate overnight, then consume. So glad I had leftovers to find this out!! I will be getting at least 4 meals out of that one package so this is an excellent buy price-wise as well!

Noodles that help you lose weight!
If you want to lose weight order a batch of these noodles and eat them for a week or two. They do not taste like anything so they can soak up any flavor. They have no calories so you can eat as many as you’d like to fill you up anyway you would like and you can pair these noodles up with any type of vegetables or protein they are a 10 out of 10 excellent quality and they do not contain any bad carbs their texture is very smooth and rubbery. They are very easy to prepare. You don’t even need to cook them. They do not smell and they are very versatile.

When you need noodles but are on a diet
After being on a diet all summer I was really missing noodles and found these by looking up low-calorie alternatives. They come in a shelf-stable bag. There are instructions about how to prepare the noodles, where you separate them in cold water with lemon juice and baking soda, then rinse them. Then they are ready to warm up and eat. This adds a step to cooking and some thinking ahead but only takes a couple minutes and isn’t difficult in itself. The noodles have effectively no flavor. They are glassy and really don’t soak up any sauce. At the same time, they don’t soak up water either, so won’t become mushy even if they sit in water for days. This bag is enough for two big servings. What constitutes a serving is really just a matter of how much physical volume you want to eat, because the noodles are so low calorie, eating one noodle or the whole bag is a trivial difference. These are WAY better than nothing. That might sound like faint praise but it isn’t. They are also way better than zucchini noodles. They’re more expensive and not as tasty as rice or wheat noodles. These are great if every calorie matters and you want that noodle component in a dish.

These are great!
These noodles basically take on the taste of whatever you’re cooking. My husband is a diabetic and these don’t make his blood sugar pop which makes him happy. I can’t have gluten and I enjoy them. Wish they weren’t so expensive - that’s why only 4 stars.

Not Organic
I bought these and following the directions the texture was really good like sweet potatoe clear noodles. My concern is why these are not certified organic. My guess is that there must be something either with where they are sourced from in the sea vegetable and/or the process to make them into a noodle. I could not find any information. If they were organic I would definitely buy them again. But for the price and they are not organic is concerning. Especially with microplastics in the oceans I feel there just isn't enough transparency.

I changed my review - they are GOOD only so long as you use lemon/baking soda and hot water!
The package does not tell you how to properly prepare these which I find frustrating and silly. I had to read these reviews to find out that there is a way to make these noodles soft. You have to boil them and add lemon and baking soda - it seems. Because if you don't - they are like small strands of crunchy nothing that taste like nothing and don' have the texture of noodles at all - more like crunchy nothing/plastic of some kind - YUCK. I threw them out with disgust. So the rating will change once I make these the "secret" way that the company has decided NOT to tell you about on the package when you buy them. C''mon kelp noodle people....don't make me do extra research to use your product...what a waste of my time and my money (since they were so awful I threw them away). I updated my review to five starts because I found the right way to make them taste like glass noodles - soft and yummy. For each package use 1TBS baking soda and 2TBS lemon. Put the lemon and baking soda together (see the bubbly chemical reaction) then put the glass noodles in there and get them coated in the stuff. Last add hot water to it and let it sit for 8 minutes. Perfect noodle! The company NEEDS TO UPDATE THE DIRECTIONS ON THE PACKAGE!!! Without these steps, these are awful.

Massive Textural Crunch; Wholly Unique
I found these kelp noodles to be fascinating and unexpected -- which isn't to say they'll become an everyday staple of my diet -- but Sea Tangle's ability to transform a low-carb, low-calorie, ocean-sourced vegetable into a unique and totally viable noodle is truly a feat. What makes these almost otherworldly is their incredible textural crunch -- this is a loud food to eat, and one that snaps in your mouth. It has no comparables that way. Taste-wise, it's very neutral and hardly oceanic in flavor. That said, this is a likely a noodle for chefs and other foodies who can incorporate its uniqueness into inspired creations, from salads to Japanese dishes and beyond. It's not the noodle's fault that I'm not skilled enough to optimize its use. Super fun to try, and a great value at this low price. - (Was this of use? If so, let me know by clicking, "Helpful." Cheers!)

Kelp noodle
I never write reviews, but these noodles are amazing.. I honestly think the bad reviews are from people who don't know how to prep them. I don't mind my noodles a little crunchy, but If you prefer softer noodles all u need to do is clean & soak with hot water. Its very easy to prep. I think it's best made with soups.

Amazing
These are so delicious and full of goodness, not calories! They need good rinsing, then to be marinated in lemon juice and baking soda for 5 minutes, then rinsed again and the texture is perfect! Excellent source of iodine especially for vegans. Very versatile! Highly recommended.

Just No
I really wanted to like these... but I couldn’t. The first problem - the cost is prohibitive. The bag that arrived was surprisingly small. The weight came from the water in which it’s packaged. Second. I tried some straight out of the bag. It was akin to chewing on a tasteless crunchy rubber band. A rather strange texture combination and not a pleasing one. I tried adding some to a salad to see if mixed with a bit of greens and acid and fat it would miraculously become palatable. It didn’t. I tried to cook it - in order to soften it up... after boiling it for 15 minutes it still had the same rubber band texture but was a little less crunchy. Three minutes out of the water I added a little sauce and was quite pleased with myself... until I bit into my dinner, the kelp had cooled down a bit and was crunchy and rubber again. I’m beyond disappointed in this product. Perhaps it is ignorance and this is how folks enjoy it. It would be great for weight loss since a few “noodles” take 5 minutes to chew through.
