Great stuff for assisted opening knives
I have been on a kick lately where I have purchased several assisted opening knives, so far, all being Kershaws.Kershaw manufacturers knives in the USA as well as China. I have had great luck with all of my USA Kershaws right out of the box. But, I have not had such stellar experiences with their China line. Many of the China branded Kershaws I have purchased arrive with poor blade deployment capabilities. Sometimes they seem weak, stiff or even dirty to the point you can feel a gritty feeling when opening or closing the blade. I oil all my knives, of course, but when I experience issues with blade deployment, that knife gets a little extra TLC. Mainly, applying and working in pro-shot zero friction. It's amazing the difference it makes. A few knives that I probably would have had to return now fire open the blade quickly and smoothly.I am very happy with pro-shot zero friction and I will definitely purchase more when needed. I would definitely recommend this product to others with confidence. It is fairly expensive, but ounce for ounce compared to like products, it is actually priced competitively. And just a little goes a long way.*Update - removing 2 stars due to the increase in price. My review was based a great deal on the "bang for the buck" factor which is no longer present considering the recent increase which was quite significant.I was nearly out of pro-shot zero friction so I decided to order an additional 1oz bottle. Then I noticed the price jump. This prompted me to look at other similar lubricants and do some research. I ended up purchasing a 4oz bottle of Liberty Oil due mostly to the product pricing. When researching Liberty Oil I couldn't find much info, but what I did find was positive. After receiving and using Liberty Oil I am extremely happy with the product and the results produced as a result of its usage. Liberty Oil now costs just a fraction of what pro-shot zero lubricant will cost you.I can no longer recommend pro-shot zero friction*Update: I now see where the product price has been reduced back to what I consider to be a reasonable and fair price.! And I ended up doing an unplanned head to head test with Pro-shot Zero Friction going up against a product which is supposed to be of similar or better quality at a much lower price point, Liberty Oil.I use the high end lubricants such as these on my collection of spring assisted opening knives. I always work a decent amount of lubricant into all the moving parts and cover metal parts with these same lubricants as doing so increases the knife blade deployment speed and overall smoothness of all the knife workings dramatically. I recently received an additional assisted opening knife and began my normal lubricating and break in routine. As usual, huge improvement. BUT...on this particular knife there was a squeaking sound and also a gritty feel at one point of the knife being opened. I concentrated on these areas repeating the lube and break in process much more than usual. I could not resolve either problem to my satisfaction using Liberty Oil.So, I took a small amount of Pro-shot Zero Friction that I had left from my original order and worked it through the knife. Guess what? After using only a fraction of the amount of Zero Friction compared to Liberty, the squeak was and is still gone. Same for the gritty feel, completely gone.Too be honest I was surprised to see this. I thought all of the so called "technologically advanced" lubricants would work the same. Nope. Definitely not my experience, at least with this scenario anyway. Not exactly a scientific study conducted in a controlled environment or anything, but it works for me.Now.....bumping my review back up to 5 stars. And ordering myself another bottle of Pro-shot Zero Friction soon.

Solid lubricant for MARS and pistols when combined with other products
After the lubricant arrived, I went to the range and put it to the test.No odors or noticeable fumes came from the product. The lubricant is quite good although does not compare to higher end lubricants like Hornady. This is a suitable lubricant for intricate areas where a bolt carrier meets the BCG.I should mention two things:Fouling. The lubricant does not prevent carbon build up, so this is more for components that won't be exposed to prolonged fire where carbon deposits are heavier. It is a lubricant only after all. In the cold, the viscosity was somewhat higher. Once the gun became hot, the lubricant dripped like hot oil off of a spoon.I would suggest this as a last resort, when you truly need lubricative properties over a general CLP.Second point:Viscosity. I already mentioned how it runs, but this is a point I should expand upon. Cold, arid climates should use dry-oil sprays, like Ballistol. Hot, humid climates should use grease. A regular oil has no place in firearms, really. A runny oil will not suit well when a rifle is stored; leading to oil runs and trickles down towards gravity embrace. This being said, I do believe this should be used in addition to dry-oil spray, CLP, or grease. Spreading this on high friction areas, in addition to the aforementioned suggestions, the coefficient of friction will be heavily negated.I ran experiments on separate uppers. Same ammo type, same barrel length and gas tube length/pressue, as well as same BCG.I ran one upper with the lubricant only. One with grease and the lubricant. One with CLP and lubricant. One with Ballistol and lubricant. In my arid, cold climate, the Ballistol and lubricant ran flawlessly. The fouling was noticeable, although the unit didn't jam at all.Second, the CLP and lubricant ran well. After 400 rounds, the bcg became sluggish due to the CLP running down on the slower and leaving room for fouling. The worst was the lubricant only. I had a double-feed which was due to fouling on the bcg rails. Enough carbon accrued to measure out to 0.008g of fouling after scraping the surface with a polymer-type card, then drawing the oil from the scrapings.I imagine in Florida, or the Southern states when it gets hot, grease and lubricant would be a perfect combination.Be smart. Use different combinations for different climates.

Easy to use, poor package
Easy ti use precision oiler, but it is prone to tip clogs. When the tip is placed into tight spaces, it picks up dirt which clogs the tip. I use a match to burn out the tip to get it working again. A better design would be a tip cap with an included pin that fits into the metal tip to keep it clear.

Works great on knives
The media could not be loaded. Works great on my knives, I use it mostly on knives with bearings, and it's very affordable, and the metal needle applicator makes it easy to get into light spots without disassembly. As you see in the video my KIZER VARATAS has awesome action.

Incredible.
I bought a bottle with a purchase of half a dozen premium gun oils, planning to try them out. I oiled one of my pistols after cleaning, put it in the case. Next time I pulled it out and cycled the action, it was so much smoother I put it down and checked my closet to see what oil I had used. This is the smoothest oil I have ever used. Fully synthetic, meaning it doesn't plasticize under high temps. It keeps the powder and metal from firing in solution, floating the metal surfaces instead of forming hard deposits. A quick wash with Powder Blast and a reoil and the gun actions look like new. This oil has fixed ftf issues on a picky semi auto 12 ga and an AR.

Good stuff.
Good stuff. Great price compared to KPL in volume. Seems to be good only time will tell. 3 times the oil as KPL and a little cheaper. Not as handy but good for shop or home.
