Don't separate to sharpen or your scissors will be useless
These scissors are great at first. They are light weight and sharp but DO NOT remove the "screw" to sharpen them. It's semi-riveted in and once you remove it they will not stay tight. I Have had the same problem with my way more expensive Kai scissors :(

Superior workmanship
I am so happy with this scissor. I’ve been using my old Fiskar brand sewing scissor although the blades had gotten so dull. These sewing scissors are better than when my old scissors were new. I can snip into the tiny corners of a stitched seam which is so important in fine sewing. I can open buttonholes with confidence. I can cut coarse wool and iridescent chiffon. I just know this scissor will keep me happily sewing for many years.
