Zero need to cut and solder as other reviews have stated
The number one thing these reviews have said is that the wires are pinned into the connector incorrectly. This is true, the negative wire on these does not match up with the negative on the body harness. BUT THERE IS NO NEED TO CUT OR SOLDER ANYTHING TO FIX THIS. Normally I would suggest de-pinning the Metra connectors but I couldn't quite tell how they de-pinned and I was concerned about the quality of the connector in switching the pins (this was valid, read on). The easiest thing to do to make these work properly is to de-pin the body harness. All you need is a small flat blade screwdriver and some patience. 1. First thing you want to do is disconnect the stock speaker and throw it away. 2. Then focus in on on the body harness connector, you will see a red locking mechanism (plastic), there is also a red gasket there (rubber) so look close. Stick your flat blade screwdriver between the plastic lock and rubber seal to pry the plastic lock up (see pictures). 3. Once the lock is popped up, you then need to pull it straight out, you can user the screwdriver but I would suggest a small needle nose. It should come easily, just make sure to pull straight and not break it. 4. Now that you have the locking tab off the connect. Look inside and you will see the two pins and a small space above them (sorry didn't take a picture). If you look even closer there is a little tab that needs to be lifted to release the pin. The best way to do this is to get your hands on the wire and connector in a way that you can apply a slight pull force on the wire while trying to lift the tap inside the connector. It can be a little funky at first but just be patient, just remember you are trying to lift the tab AND pull the wire at the same time so as soon as the tab is lifted high enough the wire will release. No need to yank on the wire, if its not coming easily then the tab is still holding it. Remember light constant pull on the wire while prying the connector. 5. Repeat for the second pin. 6. Replace pins back into the connect into their new positions by simply sliding them in. No tools needed. 7. Replace the red locking tabby simply pushing it back into place, and you are ready to go! No cutting or soldering needed! The other reason I gave these a four star instead of five was that one of them just didn't fit right in either door. The pins would not seat correctly and eventually I pushed hard enough that one of the pins in the metra connector popped out and couldn't be locked back in. I was able to manipulate it enough to get it connected and used some shrink tube to secure in place. Works but seems like a QC issue, then again these are only $8 so

Works with 2014 F150 Speakers
Despite what the description and Amazon garage fitment thing may say, these adapters worked with my truck. I have a 2014 F150 STX. I got new Infinity speakers on Black Friday (2015). They came with the adapters. A few weeks ago, I started experiencing some issues with the speakers. The front and rear passenger speakers were both getting choppy and cutting out more and more frequently. Took the door panels off, took the speakers out, and the connections on the adapters already had rust all over them. I assume it was causing a poor connection. While I was disappointed that they lasted 5-6 months, they were free with the speakers after all... and these replacements here on Amazon are inexpensive. I figured I'd start fresh with new ones, so I ordered these. The Amazon garage thing said it didn't fit my truck. I ordered them anyways and they fit perfectly fine. Before I installed these ones, I just cleaned up the terminals and put dielectric grease all over them. Greased up everywhere I could - anywhere where moisture could get into. Hopefully this will prevent my rusting issue, or at least delay it a bit. A lot more water gets into those door panels than you would expect. Anyways, so far so good! Very happy to have everything functioning well again and sounding great!

Incorrect polarity but easy fix.
Okay so I had read the reviews and I had seen that it stated that the polarity was incorrect. They are correct the polarity is incorrect they put the wrong size spade terminals on the wires. In lame terms aftermarket speakers will have their negative and positive terminals one will have a small clip and a big clip for a spade terminal. So they are not interchangeable to prevent you from setting them up wrong. Well they were set up wrong from the start they put the big spade clip on the negative terminal which should be positive. What this means is that on after market speakers the big clip is for positive and the small clip is for negative. This item the small spade clip was placed on positive cable so when trying to plug It into an aftermarket speaker it wount fit because the speaker had a big clip on it. All you need to do is cut the wires and change the spade clips with eachother. I know some people will say well why even buy it just hard wire it. Yes but I dont like the fact you have to cut the actual factory wire harness plus it cleaner like this. If this is still confusing you can find what's the positive terminal by connecting a 9:volt battery If when connected your speaker pushes out the cone away from the magnet you have the right polarity if it comes.in towars the magnet then your polarity is wrong. *ALERT YOUR SPEAKER WILL WORK EITHER WAY NO MATTER THE CONNECTION BUT SOUND QUALITY WILL BE HORRIBLE**** Any speaker is designed to push the cone out away from the magnet on a beat to create bass if you have it incorrectly wired I'll push in Towards the magnet minimizing your sound quality to even creating an echo.

Check Your Wiring Diagrams
I have no complaints about the quality of the connector, wires or crimps. It's good for the price. For a 2005 CVPI at least, I had to repin the adapters as they were inverted. Make sure you have a wiring diagram to check which wires on your car are power and ground. A set of small picks or depinning tools may be needed for your car.

These adapters were a perfect fit for My 2012 Ford Escape. Nice tight connections, and no problems at all to connect to the speakers, or the speaker wires from the suv. Some have mentioned needing to expand the clips with a screwdriver, but this is unnecessary. The connections are MEANT to be tight, and if you are familiar with this type of connection, you know all that you need to do is gently wiggle the connector as you slide it over the clip, rather than push it straight on. it will seat itself properly, once you get it started, and leave a tight, secure connection. These were a life saver, and I am 100% satisfied.

Entro perfecto

No splicing necessary. Clipped these on and right on to my Ford, easy and fast. Worked great.

Worked well enough, made installation of new speakers easier. Pins in connector pushed out as I plugged it in to factory harness, pulled the wire and turned pin and re-inserted and worked well, terminal ends to connect to speakers were a bit snug and had to be coaxed open with screwdriver to properly seat them on the speaker terminals. Did not verify the polarity when installing but will double check soon when doing fine tuning on stereo set up. Great seller and reasonable shipping times, product arrived in great shape and as described. I would buy from them again.
