First of all, the seat itself is PERFECT for beginning solids and for practicing upright playtime. I purchased the seat back in 2023 for my first baby and used it EVERYWHERE (restaurants, the beach, tabletops etc.) past his 2nd birthday. Now my 2nd baby is here and I’m starting on solids and play using the same seat. The quality has not faltered one bit. Last but not least, I have to commend them on their 5 star customer service support. So quick, so caring and actually supportive (which is rare these days.) This seat is worth its weight in GOLD! Thank you so much!!

This seat and company is amazing! After much research, we learned the Upseat is the best seat for our baby’s development. We purchased it and were eager to use it. As soon as he could sit up, we put him in it. Sitting in it helped him to sit straighter. He would play in it, eat in it, and just hang out. We ran into an issue where he outgrew it at a very young age. We have a 99th percentile baby and so the seat was no longer usable. We then learned that the company had made a bigger version of the seat specifically for larger babies, but it was sold out with no sign of restock for a while. We reached out to the company and were shocked to get their response. Not only did they send us a seat as soon as one became available, but they did so as a free exchange. They sent us the Upseat Big to use for months before ever asking for the original seat back. It just shows that they are a company who care about their customers and our experience. I will forever be an advocate for this company and their product.

10 out of 10!!! I would 100% recommend this seat to anyone with an infant. I used it with my son almost daily! Super sturdy and such a beautiful color. We used it for fun activities all the way to starting solids!! Very easy to get him in and out of the chair!

I am very happy with my Upseat purchase. We chose this chair based on doctor's recommendation. She said it was good for the baby's spine and posture. We used it for a little while as a chair on the floor to help our baby sit up during play time. When she was old enough for solids, we hooked the Upseat to the kitchen chair and used it as a high chair. We use it every day, 3 times a day. We have taken it to family functions and out to eat when we know there isn't anywhere for the baby to sit. It's easily transported. It does get super messy with every meal, but it's easy to clean. We wipe to down well every time she eats, and every few days I take it to the bathtub for a deep cleaning. I just run hot water over it, wipe I down, and dry it. It's good as new after that. I have only had one issue with the seat. The clamps that hold the table into the base weakened after about 7 months of use. It has a year warranty, so I emailed the company, and they are sending me a replacement table at no charge. The company has excellent customer service. They responded and solved the issue in less than 24 hours. The table doesn't feel as sturdy as I would like, but even worn an 11 month old banging and pulling on it, the top hasn't cracked. I highly recommend the Upseat for anyone who doesn't have a lot of space to store a high chair. This seat stays on a kitchen chair at all times unless I am washing it. I've had family members they to convince me to get a high chair, but this is really all we need.

Update: After this review, Upseat customer service reached out and apologized about my complaints. They let me know they have corrected the rough edge issue and sent me a new seat. It is definitely better made! They also sent a mat that attaches to the seat and helps the seat stay stationary. With these upgrades, I would change my initial review and say I would keep the seat. The customer service was great! I ordered this seat before our little one arrived and was so excited to use it when he was old enough. He finally was able to use it starting a two months ago and I'm so disappointed in it. First off, it looks like corners were cut making this seat. It's made from a rubber-like material, and the edges are bumpy and rough. It could have (and should have) been smoothed out. Second, I had my 4 month old in this seat on the ground and he could push his feet down on the floor and the seat would start to tip back-- a 4 month old could do this-- I can't imagine using this seat for an older, stronger baby. Some pros- I do like that my baby sits straight up in it and it has ample room for his healthy thighs. It's also very easy to clean, especially if your baby is a messy eater like mine! Overall, I wish I could return this. I'm so disappointed in it. It was a waste of money and I would not recommend to any parent.

Update 3/2026: My daughter is still using her seat and it’s still in great condition along with the mat! Def worth the cost. We have since had twins a couple months ago so we’re saving for 2 more seats. GET THE SEAT! My daughter has the best posture and eats her meals extremely well. She’s never had reflux or gastrointestinal thanks to this seat. We still take the seat everywhere with us lol. Update 9/2024: My daughter is still using this seat!!! She is now 22 months and we have it attached to a chair. She is able to climb in and out and buckle herself in. She loves her seat. She uses it for play time, eating, watching us cook, etc. Her posture is amazing! We’ve received so many compliments regarding her posture and how straight she sits, even when not in the seat. We take this seat with us to the movies, the grocery store, the park etc. It is our favorite seat, and I am not sure what we are going to do when she grows out of it. My daughter is 2 ft 6in and weighs 28 pounds and fits comfortably. Update: So the company sent me a new seat and also a splat mat! You hook the seat up to the mat and it stops them from falling over. Amazon sent me a used seat; however, the seat and mat I received from the company is new (never used). I have used this seat on all types of floors and it has held up. I recently had to receive treatment and I’ve been able to position her on the bed and feed her. The mat keeps her seat in place. She uses this seat literally everywhere; the park, camping, home, birthday parties, daycare, sports stadiums, friends homes, restaurants, our jobs. We take this seat literally everywhere and it installs solidly to a chair or her mat. My daughter loves this chair and so do we. I am so glad the company reached out to me to fix the problem. I was extremely hesitant to use the seat and mat they sent but I noticed it was packaged in plastic and came with instructions. Thank you so much! Old post: My daughter keeps falling over onto the floor! Even when we strap her in and the tray is clicked into position. We have tried on carpet, linoleum, hardwood, concrete. Anytime she reaches for something she will literally just fall over. I can’t stop her from reaching for things at this age. We were afraid to use the seat on a chair even though it has straps for it. Also, I’m sure this item was used. It didn’t come in plastic or with instructions and has a small stain on the seat. For the price, we wanted a new item. Something we could use to assist with correct posture and BLW. Also if your baby is chunky they wont fit. It was a tight squeeze for my daughter with the tray installed. Her legs had to be stuffed down to fit into the leg slots. My friend son couldn’t fit at all. My daughter weighed 16 pounds. We are disappointed.

This was hands down one of the best baby purchases we made and is a true baby registry must-have. We started using it once our daughter was able to sit up, and it worked perfectly for a long time before we transitioned to a full high chair. It’s lightweight, portable, and easy to move, making it incredibly practical for everyday use. What really sets this apart is how well it works for on-the-go feeding. We’ve used it for car picnics, taken it to restaurants, and brought it to family gatherings where there wasn’t a high chair available. I gifted this seat to my sister as my niece was struggling to sit upright on her own as she had some health challenges that put her behind a bit developmentally. This chair helped her a lot, allowed her to learn how she should be sitting and she’s now able to sit on her own without bobbling about which was such a great milestone to witness. It’s now the go to seat for meal time too. Would recommend this seat to anyone that wants an ergonomic seat for their baby or a seat that allows baby to learn how to sit correctly by showing them which muscles should be engaged so they can then learn to do this once out of the seat too. Highly recommended.

I got the UpSeat when my daughter was just over 5 months old and I'm so happy I did! Prior to buying the UpSeat she was interested in sitting and required a lot of support to remain upright. Since having the UpSeat we've seen an increase in how long she will sit both in and outside of the seat and increased strength overall. One thing that I definitely found was unique to having the UpSeat (versus propping her up or supporting her when seated), was that she quickly became confident with leaning over to grab a toy that she dropped and then she would use her muscles to straighten out again (whereas she would usually just topple over not having a chance to strengthen those muscles). I also really like that she's able to explore toys with both hands in an upright posture (she learned very quickly that she likes to throw toys and watch them roll away...or watch me go get them for her). The UpSeat puts her in a really nice position, which is why I originally chose this seat over others. I actually found that it put her in a better position than her highchair early on so we used it a bit more for feeding than I had expected (she would slump to the side in the highchair). Now that she's a bit bigger and stronger, her highchair works well but the UpSeat will be a good option when we go visit family. I also like that it's lightweight and I can grab it in one hand when we're on the go. One thing to note is that once the tray is assembled it doesn't come apart again! I was trying to pull it apart to pack it in the car...oops! Instead it works well to put the tray on the seat when transporting it. Also, when putting the tray on the seat you have to lift the front a bit to slide it under, which is sometimes tricky to get a finger under to lift it but on the plus side it's really secure once it's on! We've tried to limit how many baby items we buy, but this is definitely one I'm glad I have. Overall we're really enjoying the UpSeat and I would recommend it to a friend!

If I could review this even better than 5 stars, I would! My son’s posture is better than mine now lol. AND is nice to know this seat is healthy and helps prevent hip dysplasia. I bought 2 other floor chairs before getting this seat and wish I just went for this to begin with instead of wasting my time. It’s a good investment. We use it for floor play and as a booster seat to eat solids. definitely a GREAT purchase
