This lens is great, especially for skateboarders on a budget. Not everyone has the dough to fork out for a century lens let alone they are getting harder and harder to find. A great alternative. I recommend this lens!

This fisheye is exactly what I wanted for my VX-DCR2100E. The lens is really big and give an intense wide effect. I think the century fisheye have exactly the same angle. This item is cheap for a fisheye and the quality is very good ! It comes with one spacer, which is fine but not anough for mine so I bought a second spacer. 5/5 stars ! this is a great fisheye lens it feels very durableit's not over the expenses and has great HD quality. I use this fish eye every weekend to film skateboarding my overall experience is very pleased and I would suggest this to everybody I know

I have purchased cheaper wide angel lens, and i was amazed at the better image quality from this lens. I purchased this to go with my Canon XA10 video camera, which it would only fit if i removed the handle with the XLR connectors on, is about 5mm to big in diameter. However its a solid lens, well constructed, and the resulting image/film is great. It is heavier than the cheaper lens - alot heavier, but i guess glass weights alot, and this has alot more glass than any of the others i have used. It didnt have any vignetting which the other lens i have tried have when zooming right out. For the $199 i paid it was a good purchase.

i got this lens a while ago when i had a vx2000 and it was ok, this lens compared to a century optics mk2 is almost the same so if you are debating between going for this lens or the mk2 and are short on cash hit this thing up. but, if you have the money for a century optics mk1 dont even think about this lens. the mk1 is far superior especially on a vx1000. on the vx2000 the mk1 is amazing but you can also get by with an opteka, as for the vx1000, if you plan on using this lens with it you're gonna have a bad time. obviously the mk1 is expensive so if youre short on money get this and throw 2 or 3 spacers on it and it will be fine until you have the cash for an mk1. but, IF YOU CAN AFFORD AN MK1 GET IT NOW.

This product literally came apart within 3 months of purchase! Cheaply made and absolutely NO support from the Opteka company. I tried multiple times to email and got no response at all! When I finally got a phone number to contact them I was told to email again!! Do not purchase this product in my opinion!

works good for skateboarding, quality isnt bad, hood helps protect from damage, people just hate on it because it is a cheaper lens than the mark1 but its good.

far cheaper than a MK1 and is still really good, definitely need at least one spacer but two gives a good amount of big. the glass is great, great quality footage too but make sure to have the lens hood on correctly to avoid the horrible look of it in the corners. great fisheye, worth the money!

Good picture, good fisheye effect. Includes a spacer ring for increasing the fisheye effect and vignetting. Seems like a quality product. Word of warning: I found very little information about it, but I did read somewhere that this would fit on an XA10. It will, but not with the handle attached, meaning you can either use it without the handle or with an aftermarket handle. Annoying, and if I'd known this I wouldn't have bought it.
