It's Great Stuff!
Down To Earth products are awesome when you are looking for top quality, organic suplements for your plants. This stuff works, like all the products I have purchased from Down To Earth. I would, without reservation (and have), reccomended their products. Value for money is there when you factor in the quality of what your plants are getting and thus, if an edible, what you are getting. It helps growth of your plants without doubt. There is no real smell to it, as long as you are a few inches away from it. Otherwise, yes, you can notice a smell of something. It's not a smell that would make you feel sick or anything though. It's just there. If you are a gardener, I know you have smelled Waaayyy worse than this stuff. As far as durability, I thought about this, and honestly, I don't think it applies to this product. However, the box is of sufficent durability to contain the product inside of it's clear plastic bag inside the box. Don't get the bottom wet though, as it could give way when you pick it up and you could have a mess on your hands.

This stuff is magic
Northeast US zone 7. Last year I bought some potted blueberries, and they seemed ok at first, but by April they were struggling. I used acidic potting mix, fish fertilizer, chelated iron. No matter what I did, I swear those blueberries were constantly on the verge of death. I know they have some specific requirements but to my knowledge I had done everything I could. I bought this plant food when I initially got them, and I started using it in the early summer. They were looking pretty rough and one of them actually died before I started using this food on it. In two weeks, their sickly reddish leaves shifted to a deep green. It started sprouting new growth by the end of the month. Within a couple months they were vibrant, bushy, and doing amazingly. I’m convinced that whatever is in this food saved my plants! I did nothing else and they just bounced back. They made it through their first winter fine, and I fed them early this season, and now I see multiple clusters of berries on them! They went from the verge of death to making berries in their second year! I would highly recommend this product, and if you ever had troubles growing blueberries and think you did everything else correctly, give this fertilizer a try. Idk how but it works. As an aside, I also use this to feed my blackberries this year and they’re absolutely exploding with flowers like I’ve never seen. Going to be a heft fruit harvest this year

Too much product.
I have only two new blueberry plants and I had to buy a big box of this fertilizer in order to get it. I wish it would come in smaller quantities. However, they did seem to help my plants grow healthy

My Plants Are Trippin' on This Acid Mix!
I was looking for an all-natural fertilizer for my acid-loving plants and stumbled upon Down to Earth All Natural Acid Mix Fertilizer 4-3-6. Let me tell you, my plants are trippin' on this stuff! In all seriousness, this is an amazing product. Pros: All natural ingredients that are safe for the environment Promotes healthy growth and beautiful blooms on acid-loving plants like azaleas, rhododendrons, and blueberries Easy to apply and works quickly Comes in a resealable bag for easy storage Cons: The 5 lb bag may not be enough for larger gardens or plant collections The smell can be a bit pungent, but that's to be expected with all-natural fertilizers Overall, I highly recommend Down to Earth All Natural Acid Mix Fertilizer 4-3-6. My plants are thriving and I feel good knowing that I'm using a product that is safe for the environment. Give it a try and watch your acid-loving plants reach new heights!

Rescued my unhappy blueberries with this Acid Mix
This stuff is amazing. I started my blueberries 3 years ago in the ground and amended the soil with this, but the berries were very unhappy. To be honest, our soil is clay covered in landfill (bay mud we call it) and the top 18" of dirt does not hold onto nutrients well. After 2 years, I dug them up in late fall and put them in containers, so I could control the soil and location more easily. I put them in a sunier spot as well as amended the soil heavily with this product. Last summer I had my first flowers and a modest crop of blue berries. This year i have been really dilligent about following the instructions on the box (fertilizing in NorCal in January, March and now May) and wow, what a difference! All 3 bushes (3 different varieties) are now covered in berries. i cannot wait for when they are ready to eat. I highly recommend this product for container gardening of blueberries. My volunteer parsley is also very happy sharing the pot with one of the blueberry bushes. My gardenia is not so happy.

I guess I didn't realize that it was a super small box. But for $35 plus tax you would think it would of been a regular size box of fertilizer. But nope. Its tiny. There is about a cups worth of fertilizer in the box. I feel completely ripped off. Won't be buying this again ever. Way overpriced!

I ordered this August 2023. I just brought it out to use today and after applying to my 3 blueberry plants I realized it expired in April 2022. For $70 this is inexcusable.
