Great video tripod!
I love this. Great step up from my photo tripod. Very smooth, very stable. Word of warning to all - there is a right way and a wrong way to slide on the plate. The wrong way is not secure and your camera can fall off! This was not very apparent. Note that all instructions are written in Ikea-ese.

Very good to go tripod! I use a bridge cam with a monitor on top and it works amazing. Great pick.

Not fluid
I would not suggest this for video. Probably would not even call it a fluid head. It lacks resistance for panning or tilting. So it pretty much works like a ball head. I’m sending mine back and paying more for a little better actual fluid head.

Rare in its kind with few flaws
Rarely one may encounter a product of good quality during the current global mass production, yet Manfrotto tripod is one of those rare exceptions. This Italian made tripod deserves nothing less than five stars with 2 reservations: 1-I wished Manfrotto could eventually replace its own clamp + the sliding plate of the tripod head with the standards and more practical Arca-Swiss clamps and plates. In fact not only Arca Swiss is quicker to mount or dislodge but it is extraordinary pracrical. But, if you leave Manfrotto sliding plate attached to your camcorder not only it is too long and bulky but it is a hinderance -- for instance, in the case of Canon (XA) it blocks the release of the battery. In fact, whenever you try to mount your camera on any other pod or on a gimbal etc., you have to detach the Manfrotto sliding plate from your camera. Not such a trouble if you use a standard Arca Swiss adapter for all your devices which provides you with a quick release lever (see the picture). 2- A minor flaw: two legs of the Manfrotto tripod (190X) have rubber cover for handling, but not the third one. Thus, when it comes to adding a stone bag to the tripod, the grip keeps sliding down off the third pod and you have to use a kind of tape or so on beneath the grip to lock it into place. Fortunately, it shows that both these shortcomings can be easily addressed and corrected. But then we have to take one star off the 5, when evaluating this excellent tripod. *By the way, if you are a constant traveler, you better off with the fiber tripod which is lighter.
