Black Coachman Hat - Faux Suede Molded Felt with Grosgrain Ribbon, Adjustable Fit, Costume Accessory

I was not expecting a hat of this quality at this price point. I was expecting a flimsy felt-over-plastic version, but NO! This is a very soft feeling hat with a great shape, love the curved brim on the sides. I got both my husband and my son one for my daughter's steampunk wedding. This hat has a heavy-duty adjustable Velcro strap in the back, making it very easy to fit both of them. My son is a small 13yo and my husband is a 6 foot tall grown man. This hat is very well made and I can see it lasting a very long time. They both survived being packed in our suitcases and flown across the country. I just shoved some clothes inside and packed in amongst the rest of our clothes. If they can survive the airport baggage handlers and a plane change, they can survive almost anything! The packing from Amazon is always great. Hats were in a bag and then surrounded with those air-pac cushions, no issues.

Not cheap-looking at all for the price. Gave it as a Christmas present and it really looks like it cost twice as much. Very clean, stiff lines, not a mooshy piece of felt junk. I think you'd have to take care of this hat, because it WILL get dented and stained if you abuse it, but with care will last for years. And really, how many days out of the month are you going to wear this? One thing: the hat does appear a little taller in real life, on a real head. The model must have it pushed down on his skull some. Also, when they say one size they mean one adult male head. Remember that.

Quality is ok, I don't know how sturdy it should be but I am satisfied for the price. I wear a 7 5/8 hat normally and the large was a tad big. Med would probably be a tad small.

I bought this hat to make into a steampunk hat and it's perfect for it. Very nice construction... much better than your typical low cost hat.

We bought this to go with a Victorian Christmas costume for my husband and it looked very handsome on him and worked great with the costume.
