Amazing for the price
Ran these MTX dual 12s in my 2006 Mustang powered by an Alpine S A60M and they hit hard for the price. Good low end punch without sounding muddy, and they handled power well as long as they were tuned correctly. Iโve since moved them over to my Silverado with a different amp and theyโre still going strong. For a budget friendly setup they perform really well and hold up over time. Definitely a solid option if you want strong bass without spending a ton.

SOUNDS RAD
For the price these hit hard. I was skeptical cause of the cheap price but they are amazing. I got lucky, I caught these and the boss amp/wiring kit on a really good sale. I got everything needed for $350 then went to Best Buy where they installed them THE SAME DAY I got them for $149. So from start to finish $600 for everything done, is nuts. Highly recommend. If your dash kit is too expensive or you donโt have the money for a head unit, just buy a Line Output Converter which allows you to connect your subs and amp to your stock radio. Thatโs what I did, and I use a Bluetooth transmitter and they hit hard and sound good. If youโre on a budget then go with these and the boss amp, and boss wiring kit. Call your local Best Buy set up appointment and boom. DONE

As good as it gets for your dollar
I'm a certified installer from back in the day. My past rarely allows me to settle on mediocre sound in my vehicles. Bass in a system is the filler that adds depth and dimension to your sound. I made the decision to run a larger than needed sub box to sound good at low volume (doesn't need to struggle) and because I have the room in my old beater van. Plus because this is in my beater I didn't want to spend much but ended up with way more than expected. I remember needing my customers to spend at least $1500 for a total system to get the sound this has. This MTX terminator sounds perfect. I went with this mainly because it is a sealed box. Sealed enclosures tend to work with all music types. Not too boomy or muddy. Band pass and sealed have been my favorites. Teaming a heavy duty enclosure with a quality amp is a must. I went with the Rockford Fosgate R500X1D. Good amps are always underrated. The Rockford Fosgate R500X1D is rated at 500 watts into 2 ohm but registered at 631 watts! Proper wiring is must. I used 4 gauge high quality power cable. Be careful with wiring these days, many companies lie about wire size. They say 4 gauge but you end up with 6 gauge wire with a 4 gauge jacket. Go with a good brand and expect to pay good money. It will be worth it. Also notice in the picture, I added 4 gauge quick connect for power and ground so I can quickly remove the box if I need extra room for moving items. The team is a perfect match. Playing the police to slipknot sounds unreal. Very smooth controlled low end with a good punch you can feel. No noticeable coloration or distortion. You will love this enclosure for sure.

Awesome subs
This easily the smartest and best way I have ever spent 185 bucks! I have a 1500 watt amp and the subs knockkkkkk. Your not finding dbl 12s for anything near this price that hit like these do! I highly advise ppl to buy these but just make sure you have the right amp and tune your amp accordingly

CHECK WIRING!!!!!
I won't take anything away from these subs. The package is a good deal and the subs were pretty good. HOWEVER, there are a couple things you need to know if you don't already. What REALLY matters is what the RMS wattage is of your amp and subs and to properly match them to get the most out of both the amp and subs. The "1200 watts" listed in the title means nothing, same with your amp. What you want to look for is the RMS wattage. Individually these subs are 4 ohm subs at 200 watts RMS each, which is fine. They advertise that the subs are wired inside the box (parallel) so that the final impedence is 400 watts RMS at 2 ohms. Which is exactly what you would get wiring them in parallel. I have a mono block amp, one channel, that pushes 500 watts RMS at 2 ohms, which is a good match for these subs. Just don't crank up the gain too far and you can push the subs to the max. UNFORTUNATELY, these subs started to go after about two weeks. They are in my son's car and I attributed the failure to him jacking the amp gain up too high, which he said he didn't. So, we bought another pair of higher RMS rated subs to throw in the box. Popped open the box and the original subs were NOT WIRED IN PARALLEL !!! They were wired in the standard fashion resulting in 4 ohms at 200 watts RMS final. If you buy these, CHECK THE WIRING. There is enough wire in the box to wire them properly. Hope this helps. 5 stars for the package and price, 4 stars for wrong wiring in the box.

Excellent beginner set up
I was looking at all the other subs available to buy, and I could certainly say these stood out for me. I am driving these off an AlpineMRP500 monoblock amp, (found on crutchfield for ~$150,) and I can definitely tell that this was an excellent purchase after a couple months. An important thing to note with any kind of subs is that you should really take the time to tune the gain on your amp so you won't blow them within a couple of months. These subs sound pretty good for any low end song; however, this sub cannot handle extremely Low low end bass. Songs by e-40 bang with my current setup. Also dubstep and hardstyle sound pretty good as well. Basically anything from 25hz to 50hz will play very nice with this setup. I was surprised by the quality of the product. The enclosure was solid. Cones were made out of sturdy rubber and dense. The carpet was a nice to look at also. Overall, for the price these things have their bang for the buck. These are definite entry level subs. I would recommend buying some decent 6x9 3-way speakers if you want more mid bass. I would also take the time to buy a decent amp and pour a lot of research on buying your amp if you wanted to upgrade in the future. Some amps are not true on their specs... especially in terms of RMS wattage. On another note, if you are looking at a pair of subs that boast flashing LEDs along with them as one of their main features, you're most likely buying s***ty subs. lol

Worked for about 2 hrs of play time
Well good news: Sounded ok for low budget subs/ Impressed with the sound quality for what I payed for.... Bad news: One subwoofer decided that 190 watt rms was too much and decided to blow a voice coil after about two hours total play time... never turned it up all the way either!!! One sub still works but just sounds like crap with the other bad sub in the box, gonna try and sell the individual sub and and the box if they wont replace the bad sub.... I had it hooked to a 720 watt crossfire on one channel, and this box is bridged with only one terminal at 2 ohms, also this amp is 2 ohm stable at 380 watt rms on one channel (but considering the level of play i doubt it was receiving all 380 watts to both subs) Worst part: I loved MTX and always had their subs since the old old old thunder series in the early 90's when I was just a teenager... now it seems that everytime I buy a sub from the company it never ends well, gonna be the first time I try their customer service through amazon, I will keep it posted on results when I have time New addition: MTX and the distributor were very quick with responding and gave a full refund, which was very nice and professional, they were so nice I never actually had to talk to them by phone! Excellent service, maybe this is why ZI stick with the known brands (PS: my math up top was wrong each terminal gets half of the 720 watts for a total of 360 not 380 oops)

These bad boys Hit
What can I say other than these budget bad boys smack. I put them in a 2020 GMC Terrain and added a DS 18 candy 1800 watt amp. Gains on amp 1/2 way and no bass boost and they knock. Old Gen X bass head from the DJ Magic Mike days so I know a little about bass. Buy them you wonโt be disappointed.

Awesome, just awesome!!
A real banger that performs perfectly and beyond expectations with a good amplifier. I'm running mine with a Kicker Amp pushing 1000 watts RMS and the subs handle the power like a boss!
