Nice classy leather string grove dampener that works.
These are a simple to install and nicely made string groove dampener made from a soft kidd skin like leather (driving glove leather).1. They are easy to install and you can make a nice job of it if you first decide where you want them placed, before peeling off the stickem back. A. Make sure the area where you will adhere the dampener is clean and free of oils or bow string wax. B. Place your bow where it cannot move, have adequate light, and carefully line up where you want the dampener to be placed. C. Then start sticking it down from the notched end and work your way toward the wide end. D. The adhesive works well so only remove as much backing as you need to work your way forward. I imagine the adhesive would stick to itself very nicely, which you do not want.2. These seem to quiet the racket coming off my ILF limbs quite nicely.3. They are leather and just look cool.4. They flex well and fit nicely into the string grove.5. They are well made and evenly cut.6. The adhesive backing is fairly easy to remove if you have finger nails.7. They arrived quickly and well packaged.8. I would recommend them to a friend.9. I would purchase them again.10. They came with a thank you note from the store where they were shipped from.11. These are far nicer than any fuzzy velcro adhesive string grove dampener.

Disappointed
So I don’t want to be too hard on this; it came quickly and was as described. It seemed to stop the string slap and helped with limb vibration. However, it had a plasticity sound when i drew the string back, kind of like a crinkling wrapper. I pulled off and it was clean with no residue left on the bow after being on the bow for a few weeks and thousands of shots. Maybe it was the individual item with an issue, maybe it was the way I applied it, maybe it’s the product itself. Wasn’t terribly expensive, so I’m not upset. I think it would be a perfect item if it was made of hide with hair, rather than fake leather.

somewhat effective
These do quiet the bow somewhat, but you can do better. I've since switched to Stick Tamers (from 3 Rivers Archery) since they do everything these do, including silencing the bow, much better. The nail in the coffin for me on these was the unforgiving adhesive. When you decide to remove or reposition these, the top "leather" layer will separate from the adhesive, and you WILL be rubbing the remainder off with solvent. Not the end of the world, but Stick Tamers don't have that problem.

Comfort does not equal performance..
Works well to protect my bow limbs from string abrasion. I can recommend to cut the silencer to only be as long as the contact area, to minimize adding weight to the limbs and effectively reduce arrow speed and power delivered. Your Point-on may drop 1-3 yards.

They are what they are
They seem to work as well as can be expected. They are simply sticky padding for the string, nothing magical. Installed easily, made enough of a difference I didn't mind spending money on them. Haven't had them long enough to see how they hold up to a lot of use.

Ok for targets, not so much for hunting
These are made of quality materials, and the glue is good.... the only thing is, if your string is waxed... the wax makes a "sticky" noise as it pulls away from the silencer. Loud "sticky"noises as you draw your bow, and hunting do not mix.

Take caution
Ok product can’t really keep it in place. Will constantly shifts out of place. Once it actually adheres in place it has moves left or right.
