Didn't Last 2 Weeks
I was hoping that this cable would work as a MagSafe alternative on my new MacBook Pro, but my hopes were short lived. While it initially worked and charged the computer, it stopped working after about two weeks.There's a green light on cable piece that's supposed to shown when it's properly connected and charging. Again, that worked initially. In fact, the green light still turns on - it's just not charging the computer anymore.I found this out the hard way when the computer suddenly showed low battery, even with this plugged in. I unplugged the dongle and reseated it, but it still wasn't working. At this point I was worried that some permanent damage had been done to the port. Fortunately, when I plugged the original Thunderbolt cable into the same port the Lefon cable dongle had been in, and it started charging right away.

Unreliable and unsafe. Runs 110F temperature and hurts to pull out.
Most of the time, the cable blinks between connected and unconnected every few seconds. Occasionally, it works, but when it does, it reaches unsafe temperatures and hurts to touch. I measured it with the tip of a thermocouple thermometer for cooking, and it read 110 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a lower bound since only the very tip is being heated, actual temperatures are above that. It hurts to touch and makes me flinch away in pain every time I accidentally nudge it. Nobody else has reported this, so I'm assuming this is a dud. I'd return it if it weren't my only semi-usable USB-C cable.

A must-have gadget
Do you miss the mag-safe for you macbook? When you accidentally kick the cable, you don't drag you expensive laptop with you. This is it! for your phones too! Cell phones can be expensive these days and you really don't want a careless kick to shatter the glass of you phone. I personally not a wireless charging guy. This cable enables me to plug-in my phone without even looking! it just pops in itself. Whenever I am sleepy, i just put the phone near the cable and it will auto connect!! Totally recommend!

Very good cable, I always use it to charge my laptop in the car to make sure I break my single usb-c port

Stopped Charging MacBook after 1 Use
Used once successfully, but the cable no longer charges my MacBook. (Apple supplied cable still works fine). Tried all directions and combinations, but nothing...

Good magnets, extra internal connectors compared to other cables full voltage.
Very happy with this. Delivers full power for MacBook Pro 15”, strong magnet when you need it. Very helpful to have the green LED to confirm power is there even if laptop is off. Cord and connectors good at both ends. I’ve been using it exclusively for 2 weeks

THIS WILL BREAK YOUR LAPTOP
This product broke my MacBook Air. I plugged it in and it worked once. When I tried it again I couldn’t charge my laptop at all, not even with the charger that came with the laptop. I went to Apple and they couldn’t fix it and had to ship it off to fix. DO NOT BUY.
