I bought this light to try out my first indoor hydro setup and so far its been a dream. Far superior to the Spider and other chinese brand lights. Built in fan to keep it cool. Looking forward to getting the Z5 when I up my grow tent. On / off switch is a nice touch .My only reservation with this light was that it does not have a bloom / veg switch option. Im an inexperienced grower so not sure how much that matters, but other light options I looked into had switches with blue/red lights for veg and flowering, and this lil light is a one color scheme fits all.Still the best product, service, and warranty of any indoor grow light I researched.

I've used several other lights in the budget/beginner category and although they perform OK, they never really excel at anything. They often produce a light that is heavy on the blue and red, thus irritating to the eyes and not really ideal for plants.This light seems to have a more balanced spectrum, easier on the eyes and touch of green and white light helping my plants.The lamp is also running very cool after about a day of use. I'm using it in a 30x30" grow tent with two cannabis plants and the temperature dropped a few degrees compared to my previous light. I've checked the lamp with my light meter and I get good results, very similar to the values presented in the listing.I can definitely recommend the light for a small scale grow. If you have a medium/large grow, you probably need more than one. The lamp is both efficient and with low power consumption so the initial cost is recovered quickly with light electricity bills.

I love this light so far. Powerful yet quiet and doesn’t get very hot. My plants are growing nicely under this light. I have to mention that the customer service is great as well. I had a couple questions on how to hang this light and I was emailed very quickly.

This light works awesome for my Cannabis babies in my 20"x20"x48" Veg tent. No problems whatsoever, easy to set up and the light stays cool and quiet. The company is really awesome and helpful as well. Quick responses and helpful advice from messaging them on the LEDTonic facebook page. Would definitely recommend for growing marijuana in a small grow tent. I also purchased the LEDtonic Z5 for my flower tent (although you can use the z2 through the entire grow if you would like to) which is working amazingly so far as well. 5 stars all around.

I normally don't write a review so soon after purchase and will update this one as time goes on as it is still too soon to judge the overall performance of the light. That said, the construction seems top notch, not the usual stamped aluminum casing of the "clone blurple " lights out there. I like that it has an on/off switch vs just plugging in.One snafu off the top was the included hangers were too long for my setup (2x2x4) and the light uses a threaded /screw on type connector for the hangers as opposed to a metal loop so I had to MacGyver a solution (knotted them up to shorten them) to work in my tent. Here's the good part. They had immediately emailed me after I received my light to check in, very nice surprise. When I mentioned the issue, they immediately got back to me and refunded me a portion of the purchase to offset the cost of replacing the hangers, how cool is that?So really 5 starts for excellent customer service, 4 starts for a minor design issue however Understand they are addressing that with future lights. Then again unless you are doing a micro grow like me, it's probably not that big a deal.As far as the light goes, it is definitely brighter than the other light I have (A clone "blurple" type). They are running side by side now and i'm not entirely sure yet if it's genetics or the light, but the girls under the V2 are definitely more vigorous. They are however recovering from some early mistakes I made so I really cant make a full judgement call yet. The light is definitely more pinkish than blurple, and the plants seem greener under the light, so a little more natural.Heat is not too bad, with both lights running it does get a bit hot if I don't have my fan running but the girls seem to like it warmer anyway.Will update this as time goes on. So far so good and would recommend to others wanting to do a micro grow, whether "medicinal" or not.

So quiet I don't even notice it running. It seems bright enough to keep the bonsai trees I'm starting very happy, as well as the herbs I brought in from outside. It's in my living room, and although it does add a slight pink hue to the room, it doesn't bother me too much --- I think the color is less harsh than typical grow lights.Comes with a convenient hanging mechanism. It looks nice since it doesn't need an external power brick and doesn't have ugly branding on the housing.

We had received some tomato plant seeds that we potted and got no result for over 3 weeks, so finally broke down and ordered the LEDtonic Grow Light. Within a few days, the sprouts popped up and are quickly growing beautifully.My wife was about to throw the potted seeds away thinking that they were moldy and dead. Very exciting!

Very small (6x8")and weak. There are several lights twice as large and twice as bright with veg and bloom cycles for the same price.
