Nice 4 qt Pam, don’t like lid
Bought this 4 qt and a 3 qt 4 qt one has a lid that fits inside the pan’s top. 3qt one has a lid that sits on top of the pan’s top. 4 qt lid seems cheaply made compared to the one that came with the 3 qt pan. Like both pans but would not have bought if I had seen the lid in person first

Good for quick heats
This is a really nice pan, great for things like heating soup or boiling water. The lip for pouring is a great feature. It is a big heavy tri-ply bottom for even heating. FYI, the sides are NOT tri-ply like some of the other Tramontina lines....so it probably won't hold heat as evenly as its non-lipped counterparts.

Terrific product
I have been using non stick cookware for years and of course, the surface of those pans wear out and chip. I wanted to try stainless steel as I grew up with Revere Ware. I was worried about how I would like the stainless-steel cookware due to cleaning issues. These pans are much easier to clean than I thought and if needed Bar Keepers Friend shines them right up. They take a bit longer to heat up on the gas stove but once they do the heat seems to be even. I also use cast iron cookware and have found that the Tramontina Cookware is easier to cook with and clean. The only problem for me is that the cookware is heavy, which is a good thing. However, I do have problems with arthritis of my hands and I have to be very careful not to drop them or hurt myself. Otherwise, my husband and I are very happy with this purchase.

Nice pots. Decent quality. Great price. Flimsy lids.
Have used this brand for years. New house, new set. I'm returning to get a set with glass lids, which is what I thought I bought. I'd keep as they seem nice, weighty, and with good feature set, and MOST of the lids fit very well, but the geometry of the lids screams "soon to be ugly and scratched" and they are very thin material. Right now, I can't find the same pots with glass lids, and may have to buy a set that is not the same, but has glass lids, which is a shame. These are nicely shaped, and the flared lips look good and are consistent with the type of cooking i do. Price is outstanding and I think perfectly fair, but I am just picky about the lids. I need to see what I am burning! Martha Stewart I am not!

Best value
For the price, these can't be beat. Good luck finding anything better in this price range. The base is very well made, handles are sturdy. The sides and covers are a bit thin, but if you're looking to cut cost, this is the place to do it. One day, I'll buy a fully clad set - but for now I have a glass range top anyways so the benefit of fully clad is lost without flames licking up over the side of the pans (no gas hookups on my property :()These are well made, especially considering the cost, and if you're looking to ditch a bunch of crappy old pans without spending a grand, this is the way to go IMO! a full range of sizes of pans and pots.

Excellent saucepan
Feels like a high quality saucepan, and it cooks quickly at that. There were some discolorations from heat, but the Bar Keepers Friend helped with that quite well.

How to cook without sticking on this amazing pan!
My aging nonstick cookware had seen much better days and after only four years of use it started chipping and rusting so I figured it was time for a new pan. I had always read good things about stainless steel pans. With so many choices out there for stainless steel cookware I didn't know where to start. I found some reviews about decent sets that were priced affordably. I came across the Tramontina brand and I've heard nothing but good things about it. I decided to give it a try and placed an order for the 8 inch frypan to start with. When I got my order I was a little disappointed because even though the box said stainless steel on the outside when I opened it there was another box with the 8 inch ceramic pan on the inside. I don't blame Amazon for this because I know stuff gets mislabeled in packaging. Amazon was great about accepting the return in sending me a replacement within two days.I got the new pan this morning and decided to try it out by just frying a couple of eggs. One of the things I've always heard about stainless steel pans is that they always stick. So before I decided to try out my new pan I did some research on how to prevent sticking in stainless steel pans. In just a short search I learned a lot! Basically sticking comes from the pan being either too cold or too hot! To test to see if your pan is the right temperature to cook with you should do the water test. Heat your pan starting with a low temperature and after a minute or two at a few drops of water. If the water sizzles your pan is too cold. Increase the heat and wait another 30 seconds and try again. If it still fizzles then increase the heat some more. The goal is to get the the water to form into a bubble or circle so that it freely rolls around the pan! Once you do this your pan is at the right temperature. You may need to lower it slightly depending on what you're cooking but this is a good rule of thumb to make sure you have the right temperature. From what I've learned when a stainless steel pan is at the incorrect temperature the pores in the metal open and close like it's having contractions. This reaction causes the pan to grab on to any food therefore causing it to stick. The goal is to get the temperature to stabilize the contractions so it no longer opens and closes which will cause your food to slide around the pan resulting in no sticking! When I first set my temperature and then added a little butter to the pan for my egg the butter did burn rather quickly. I rinsed the pan and dropped the temperature just a little bit and tried again. I added my egg and it cooked absolutely perfectly with no sticking at all! I couldn't believe how easy it was considering all I've ever really used was nonstick pans. For sure I will never go back to a nonstick pan again and I will be replacing the rest of my nonstick cookware really soon. This pan cooks beautifully and looks amazing! It is certainly worth the price and probably should be priced a little bit more for the quality. If you're looking for a good inexpensive pan then look no further. I'm sure I will get my money's worth out of this pan and I know I won't have to replace it anytime soon.

Tried and true. Worth the price.
Bought this product in Jan 2020 and have been using it regularly (2-3 times a week). It has been used to sauté, deep fry and stir fry. It has also been cleaned in a dish washer and hand washed. To date it has performed as advertised. There are no defects, still looks good and it has been a joy to cook with.

Good 2 quart sauce pan
I like the size of this pan. It is not too big and it is easy to clean. The package arrived later than expected but was worth the wait.

Top notch quality! Very satisfying to use
Sturdy, smooth, and light enough to manipulate with one hand. The smooth bottom is great for my glass stovetop.
