AcuRite 00509 Color Weather Station with Count Temperature/Humidity/Forecast

I live in a condo building and this is the third product I have used from this company. The previous two worked excellent. The last one I bought did not have an ABC switch, and was totally useless because apparently there was interference from another of their products from somewhere nearby. After much testing, and emails back and forth with the company, I finally decided to return it and look for a model from the same company that did have that ABC switch. Accurite has many models and some quite expensive but I only wanted a basic model but sadly Amazon does not carry that model. I did however find one, about $80 and it also has the ABC switch which allows me to change the frequency it operates on, thus eliminating interference. Great company with great products, but make sure you buy a model with the ABC switch if you live in a very populated area.

I have had AcuRite for many years. In time changes have been made for improvement. My reader was on my wood fence and when the company rebuilt the fence, my reader was lost. So I had no further indoor and outdoor readings. This is when I purchased the latest monitor. The new unit set up easily and the readings are easy to understand. The humidity gauge is not useable, nor do I understand what it is for. The moos settings is nice and fun because I have always appreciated a full moon. The storm predictor is not accurate and is unusable. The new reader on my new fence also can be read my my old monitor, so I now have one reader and two monitors. Very nice.

This is a basic black and white model bought at half price on a Deal Day. Ir is small and discreet if you do not want a big colourful item. My previous AcuRite weather station has proved durable and accurate. The reviews may concern different models.

Has worked flawlessly for 2.5 years then this week the outside temp was way off versus my 5 in 1 main weather station I keep in my office, was off by 10* degrees difference..I open it up and 1 of the solder's had broken off, I was able to resolder, but its still not re-sensing the correct temp outside, so I'll be buying a new senson for 12.99 from amazon..still I give it high marks for accuracy and ease of use, I figure its outside where nothing last forever
