Alto Saxophone Gig Bag Lightweight Soft Sax Case with Backpack Straps

I bought this for my son's first saxophone. While his rental came with a hard- sided case, he walks to and from school frequently. This is lighter than the hard case, abd the straps allow him a couple of carrying options. He's been putting the sax on his back and slinging his backpack on his front side.The case seems to protect the instrument well. The only complaint (which isn't really a complaint because I'm not sure how they could add this) is that he can't put his music folder in the case. I would love a similar product that features a pocket somewhere to slip in the standard size student music folder.

This is a great bag. I bought it for my son who is in 7th grade and his hard case was too heavy and bulky to carry to and from school everyday ( he’s a very careful child or I wound not have gotten him a soft case)I had it in my cart for a while and when the price went down I grabbed it!! Very happy:-)

Good: The design of the bag is very well done. It looks classy and stylish. It is very lightweight and has a few different options for carrying. The bag can stand on its own, or lean on support, with an instrument inside. It is padded but I would still be very careful with it if you have an expensive (or inexpensive) sax inside. This bag is very functional and you don't have to stuff your sax in it as there is plenty of room in the main pocket.Not So Good: This bag is marketed as being good for student saxophone players of all ages. I would not necessarily recommend this for children because it won't offer the protection a hard case would. You should be able to fit reeds, mouthpieces, neckstraps, pencils, etc.. in the accessory pocket. I don't see how you can fit sheet music on this bag unless you fold it up. I don't see why any player would deface their music to do that. Nevertheless, it is an option.The bag comes with a leather strap. How do you even put it on the bag? There aren't any instructions or a manual included to assist you.So far I am pleased with this bag and would recommend it more to a performer than a student.

I was surprised at how thin the case actually was. It may work fine for certain musicians, but for a middle school student carrying a case, dealing with lockers, crowded halls, etc., I didn't feel like it would protect the instrument enough. I also prefer the slots for mouthpiece, neck, etc. in his current case. This one has the whole instrument slide in. Perhaps I'm mixing this case's description up with another one, but I thought it had a pocket for sheet music as well. The side pocket on this case had no right angles and any music would have to be folded. Pictures of the inside would've been helpful. Just not at all what we were looking for.

Not enough storage pockets for accessories I had to buy other add ons to make it work. Need more storage compartments.
