It’s the right size and has a clean look. Sadly, the lid will NOT stay on any more. It sealed tightly for about one month. As soon as the return window closed, the lid failed. The plastic gasket pushes the lid up now after about ten minutes. I have pulled it off, reversed it, soaked it in warm water, etc..., all to no avail. I can pull the gasket off and just set it on top, but it rattles around and let’s air in, defeating the purpose.

For some reason it's really hard to find a sugar or salt bowl on Amazon that doesn't have those annoying swinging hinges on the lid.This one doesn't. It's exactly what you're probably thinking it is -- a matte-glazed ceramic bowl with a light wood top that stays on via a little rubber piece that keeps it in/relatively airtight.That's what this is. If that's what you're looking for, just buy this. If not, can you explain the benefit of those swingy hinge dealy? It looks annoying. I don't get why it's a thing.

Great quality. Holds the right amount of salt for use by the stove for cooking. I live in a marine environment, so using a salt pig (no lid) is not going to happen. This is a nice looking storage jar with a sealing (but easy to open) lid.

Yeah it looks nice and it holds stuff just fine but the Rubber seal for the lid is absolutely worthless. It doesn't fit right and it doesn't seal. I I was using it to store Sugar that I used to make tea next to my coffee pot and found a bunch of ants in it the other day. They just crawled right inside because the seal doesn't actually seal

Love it.My sugar Bowl lids always break (I am very clumsy), so I needed something that was made from wood or plastic but I still wanted a ceramic bowl. This product was the perfect find.Its a little smaller than all the other bowls I have. Its a little pricey, my husband have no idea how much I spent on it, sshhh!!But I absolutely love the design and colour of it.

I bought this for sugar. Ad says 8 point something ounces but filling it to the brim with water and pouring that into a measuring cup I measured 7 oz. The finish is even and the lid fits nicely so a mediocre 3 stars because of the misrepresented size. I'll keep it for other uses and look for something else for sugar.

I thought this would be perfect but I was disappointed with how cheap the top looks and dingy.

I needed a small canister to fit a niche next to my coffee maker and this one fit the bill nicely. It is a very simple, clean design with a very good silicone ring seal for the wooden lid. The company makes a variety of sizes and I'm probably going to order a few for my kitchen counter top.
