Have you ever wondered what secrets lurk behind the closed doors of New York Cityโs wealthiest families? They're powerful, they're famous... they're undead. Schuyler Van Alenโs blood legacy has just been called into questionโis the young vampire in fact a Blue Blood, or is it the sinister Silver Blood that runs through her veins? As controversy swirls, Schuyler is left stranded in the Force household, trapped under the same roof as her cunning nemesis, Mimi Force, and her forbidden crush, Jack Force. When one of the Gates of Hell is breached by Silver Bloods in Rio de Janeiro, however, the Blue Bloods will need Schuyler on their side. The stakes are high; the battle is bloody; and through it all, Carnavale rages on. And in the end, one vampireโs secret identity will be exposed in a revelation that shocks everyone . Review: A Past Life Reveals - Now that a Silver Blood has been released in the safe Repository, the Conclave can't ignore the fact that the abominations that feed off the Blue Blood vampires are back and they are hunting. Bliss was almost killed and a member of the Conclave was killed. Now they must get to the bottom of the threat, even if it involves trusting Blue Bloods they aren't sure they can trust. Nothing is as it seems in New York for the young Blue Bloods. Bliss is thrown for a loop when her missing boyfriend, presumed dead by Silver Blood, returns. But something is wrong with Dylan. Bliss and her friends suspect he has been corrupted, but they can't bring themselves to report him to the Conclave for fear of what could happen to him. Schuyler has problems of her own. By taking her best friend and Conduit, Oliver, as her familiar, she has blurred the lines between friend and lover/light snack. When she starts seeing Jack Force for discreet (or so they think) make-out sessions, she feels torn between the two boys she loves, but in two very different ways. Add to that the fact that Jack is bound to Mimi Force and the breaking of a bond is exactly what put Schuyler's mother into a decades long coma, and you have quite a pickle on your hands. But trouble with the Conclave makes the teenage drama pale in comparison. Schuyler's grandfather has gone to South America to investigate a possible Silver Blood uprising. When he doesn't return or get in contact with anyone, the entire Conclave, including Bliss, Schuyler, Mimi, Jack, and Oliver travel down to investigate. What they find in the city where Lucifer's second-in-command is imprisoned is a betrayal that goes to the very core of the mighty 400 Blue Bloods. Someone within the 400 has betrayed the group, but will they learn of the betrayal in time? This was another great installment of a great series. Sometimes I feel like they end on too much of a cliff-hanger, but with the other books stacked on my nightstand, I can survive! If I had to wait a year for the next book, however, I might be a little more irritated. This book certainly upped the ante in terms of vampire politics and crazy plots and plans. The teen drama, high fashion, and crazy New York nights are still there, but the series has taken a deep dive into the dark and scary world of Fallen angels and creeper demons. Review: Good book - This is a good book. I enjoyed finding out more about this series. I will read the next book. So far this is a good series. I am really enjoying it. The characters were great. The scenes were descriptive. The storyline is good.

Fay-Bay's Books Review
True to Melissa De La Cruz's style and in typical Blue Blood's fashion, this book was incredible! Melissa De La Cruz is one of my favorite authors. I know that if I pick up one of her books to read, I'm going to love it! She's always my "go-to" author. If I'm kind of in a reading funk, I know to read one of her books and it gets me back on the band wagon. I don't know what I'm going to do when I run out of books to read by her! haha. There is not one thing that I didn't like about this book. Amazing! Revelations' is the continuing story of Schuyler, Bliss, and Mimi. Schuyler is living with the Force's and hating it. She finally found her grandfather and now can't even live with him. On top of all that, she has been banned from talking to anyone she cares about. Schuyler's got it rough. I don't want to give away too much....although I guess I just did. But, this book is fantastic. I was actually so into this book when I was reading it that I couldn't focus on my school work. I actually had to walk away from it and finish reading 'Revelations' because I couldn't stop thinking about it. It was action packed and intense! I highly recommend this series, if you haven't had the opportunity to read it yet, you should! It's well worth it!

Revelations 1:1
I love the Blue Bloods novels because they are not stereotypical at all. Yes, they need blood to live. Yes, they are all attractive of course. Most importantly, there is a leading male whom every girl wants to come wandering into their bedrooms. But as far as your run-of-the-mill vamp series goes, this set of books puts a new twist on the enviable state of being that is "Vampyrism." Melissa De La Cruz throws into the mix that this elite group known as Blue Bloods were once in the presence of The Almighty. To merge the two polar opposite ideas that angels and vampires could possibly be of the same lineage is blasphemy to some. What i love best is the journey every single Blue Blood member must make to become themselves. There are only four hundred Blue Bloods in the world and they are basically reincarnated every few cycles to become a different person, eventually regaining memories from past lives. All they really want is to be back in the presence of their God. But with every piece of light there must be darkness. Schuyler Van Alen seems to be the go-to heroine with a simple charm about her that is so relatable and yet you know she is going to prevail in the end. She must find the source of the Silver Bloods, vampires who feed on their own kind to gain power through corruption, or it will be the end of clan. Everyone in her life seems like someone she can trust, but the reality is she can only trust herself, if that.

good 3rd book a bit short though
This book was good, it has a slow start but the ending was explosive, dramatic and a bit action driven. Honestly, some of it felt like it was falling in and I didn't know where most of these things are coming from because the hints are very subtle within the book. The book ends with a cliff-hanger like most, luckily if you're just buying this book theres a bunch more! I like Schuyler more and more. I think her relationship between Oliver and Jack is complicated and I cannot wait to see how it all plays out. I cannot say that she has grown stronger, but she has grown as a character and is more determined. all in all if you're a fan of this series which im assuming you are if you're getting this book its a good read and progresses the story line.

Good Book
I have a thing about gothic horror, which is what this book falls under for me. It's a new spin on vampires which I thought was refreshing. The story is well written in third person so that you can see the story from different points of view. As the third book in the series it's filled with lots of information and the story continues to grow. It doesn't really slowdown and I can't wait to finish the series. Oh wait, it hasn't been concluded yet! I hate having to wait, but like the Twilight Saga, this series is worth it. It empowers women and has a refreshing back story, that takes into account the original mythos behind vampires.

Revelations is Right
Book 3 of the Blue Bloods series definitely earned its title. There are a lot of things the reader finds out in this book that makes other pieces of the full story thus far (books 1 and 2) make sense. The ending was a bit disappointing, not in the sense that it was poorly written, but just that I had preferred it end differently. But in all honesty, it made sense and it's what should have happened. In my opinion, this is the best book of the first three. I think you need to read the first two to make sense of it and truly appreciate how intricate the story is. I love De La Cruz's choice to make the Blue Bloods angels and make these biblical references that just make it seem pretty larger than life in an already ritzy NYC setting. I picked this up when I got home from work and finished it the same night. The story flows very well and the writer really gets into the mind of a contemporary teen.

Very addictive reads and loads of teenage drama
I do know that those books are not the most brilliant books in history. I know that the plot develops at a strange pace. Most of the book is filled with the girls walking on the catwalk and fighting over guys. And yet I can't stop reading. I just finished this book and just can't wait to get my hands on the matching edition of the sequel. This series has easily become a guilty pleasure and I'm totally invested now. So, do you miss much if you never read these books? No. Will you enjoy yourself if you DO end up reading these books? Yes. If you enjoy books like Gossip Girl, but with vampires.

(Incest creeps me out but..) i love the book!
The incest is a little alarming but hey you get over it, helps you hate certain characters which is always for the best. Well explained with all the Vamp-Tastic details, love the mythological side. Being a Msc i find the idea of vamps craving fish blood a little bit strange .. but easily over looked. Very good and surprisingly voted for by Disney so you cannot go wrong.

It does exactly what it says on the cover ;)
To use a UK commercial catchphrase 'it does exactly what it says on the tin' LOL The secrets and mysteries are peeled back layer by layer, with a few (or more) shocks and surprises in store. Revelations cleverly picks up the threads of plot from Masquerade. These are definitely not stand alone books, if you haven't read the beginning of the series then you will not understand the intricacies of the plot and character interactions. Written in 3rd person narrative, mainly focalised from Schyler's point of view (who we have grown to know/understand in the previous books). Schyler is so easy to relate to; an outsider in more ways than one. Within this story Sky's vampire powers are developed further but at what cost? You can also fully appreciate the dilemma she faces torn between her BF and 1st love. The male protagonists especially seemed to gain a lot more depth of personality in this book, whereas they have previously played more of a background role. Religion, history and fantasy are all woven together seamlessly into the plot. Topical issues such as the 'credit crunch' are entwined in the narrative adding a sense of realism. I especially adored the depiction of Lucifer. It has always baffled me as to why angels would have followed him in the beginning if he was a horrible/ugly/terrifying monster. Of course, he is all of those things but on the inside. This portrayal would certainly explain a lot :) Reports are interspersed throughout the book adding intrigue and another dimension to the plot. The start of the book deals mainly with plot building and character development. Quickly followed by fast paced action and drama culminating in a thrilling cliffhanger. I was left pondering the questions: 1. Who decided on the bonds. How were they made in the 1st place. As it doesn't necessarily seem to work out for the best. 2. How were the vampire laws made? Hmmm I wonder........ If you like supernatural romance/action/adventure with lots of fast paced action and ingenious plot twists then this series is a MUST for you ;)
