Highly recommended.
Short review: This dish is awesome. Easy to lock on the signal in less than a minute. More time for camping. Less hassle than a tripod. Long review: I previously used a large Slimline dish on a surveyor's tripod because I absolutely had to have *HIGH DEFINITION* DirecTV when camping. I got good at setting up and pointing the big dish, but it was still an inconvenience to set up and take down the dish. Plus it took up a lot of storage room. The automated rooftop Slimline HD dish is about $1500 which was a cool gadget but something I couldn't justify for that much money. So I did an experiment and started watching SD channels. Well, it became apparent that the SD picture was just fine for camping. I didn't need the HD. So I got this dish and installed it myself. It took about a day to install, most of it spent determining where best to mount it and were I would drill and route the cabling, before I actually started. Well, I couldn't be happier with my decision. I can lock onto the satellite in under a minute. The elevation sensor is key to making this happen. And boom - all of the DirecTV channels are available - no HD, but that's ok. It's camping. When it's time to leave, crank it down. Cuts about 15 minutes off of my campsite breakdown compared to the tripod big dish. I highly recommend this product. Get this one with the elevation sensor and not the slightly cheaper one without. The elevation sensor makes the difference so you don't have to guess.

New product but had a defective part.
Bought this dish since I had a similar one on an older motor home. Very easy to line up. However, first slight gust of wind and the dish blew over on it back. Winegard support told me the tusset had to be bad. They are in the process of sending me a new one but would not pay for me to have the new tusset installed. Anxiously waiting for the new replacement part. Sad to say but a brand new unit needs a replacement part to work. Very disappointed right now with this product.

EXTREMELY POOR WINEGARD CUSTOMER SERVICE
Don't expect any customer service help from Winegard if you have problems with your Satellite Dish. I needed (still need) a simple replacement part and have spent well over 3 hours on hold waiting for customer support. Even "#1 in line" and I still waited 1 hour before giving up. I spoke to a rep once who said she needed to transfer me to parts - then transfered me to an inoperable number which promptly disconnected my call. DO NOT EXPECT ANY CUSTOMER SUPPORT FROM THIS MANUFACTURER

Not a multi tasking dish
If you have Dish as I do, think about another dish to use. It is a lot of money to spend on a dish that only brings in one sat. at a time so you have to switch sat's just to see another program guide. But it does the trick. I can still watch Monday night football, just have to switch sat's which can take me 10 min to get. Its an OK not a Great deal.

Good for price
Use for our Class A motor home with Directv. Had to call Winegard for assistance as instructions were limited. Learned that the recommended Azimuth can be off 20 degrees either direction, Elevation can swing up or down by 3 to 4 degrees. Directv prompts for zip code, however, it also allows latitude and longitude which worked better for us. Make sure you have a good compass to establish NORTH before you begin.

Simple to install and easy to operate
Item arrived two day early. Simple to install and easy to operate. Is up and working great. So far, trees and objects have been no problem for the dish to receive through. I am most happy with this product. I am touring the 11 Western States and the dish hasn't missed a lick anywhere I have parked my RV, even in remote areas with no campground or park. Chris.

Bad Gear Ring
The quality of the Gear Ring that hold the Satellite Dish in position has stripped and I have to wedge it to stay in place.

Crank-up satellite dish
Removed the original OTA antenna that was on the roof, I would suggest buying the wedge to level dish. Ran the new coax cable supplied with dish, that was a little difficult but got it done. The sensor was 5* different than what receiver showed in elevation. Beware if using a dish network system you will only be able to receive one satellite at a time without having to rotate the antenna to other satellite. with DTV works fine.
