I was looking for 3 things for my front porch: Outdoor, wired to a plug (not needing to charge a battery), and bluetooth capable. I don't want to have to plug my phone into some cord every time I want to play a song. I don't want to worry about charging a portable speaker. I wanted the speakers to just always be on and ready to connect on my front porch. Five important things that I didn't get from the other reviews: 1. These were way bigger than I expected. The 5.25" is the size of the inside speaker but the actual size of each case is much bigger. I was ok with this; just surprised when I opened the box. 2. Many reviews say the speaker wire between them is 10'. The power wire connecting the 1st speaker to the outlet is maybe 10' and the wire connecting speaker 2 to speaker 1 is more like 20'. All wires are black. I wrapped them in white electrical tape to blend with my house trim better. 3. Mine didn't have instructions on how to mount but it was basically self-explanatory. It was also missing 4 screws that would mount it to the house. So I'm not sure if this was a mistake but it was a pretty easy thing to resolve. I used some screws from the garage and they worked just fine. I used Everbuilt size #10x2". I'm sure yours will have the mounting screws...but who knows. 4. When I first plugged these in to test the sound was inside and they sounded just so-so. My wife suggested I try them outside since they're outdoor speakers. So I did and they sounded amazing! I don't know what kind of voodoo magic it was but these sounded fantastic once outside so be sure to take yours outside to hear them. 5. Bluetooth connecting is really easy. I did go to my garage out back and lost connection. When I returned the music was off and I had to reconnect but that was easy to do. This is the whole point of why I got them. I want to be able to pull my phone out at any given moment and just connect. Always on, always ready, no wires. Just connect and play. For a little over $100 this was a solid purchase. The sound is great, installation was super easy (assuming you can drill/screw into something), and connectivity is easy.

I have heard others that they sound thin and lacking in bass. That was not my experience, I do have them mounted on the house so they get bass reinforcement. I think for the price they sound quite good. I have a rather elaborate home audio system and these I can live with no problem. They also couldn't be easier to set up

UPDATE 03/16/2026: Got tired of the lack of bass response these speakers suffer from. So based on another reviewer's suggestion, I added a sub-woofer to the system. Specifically, I added a "Rockville, Rock Shaker 10" found here on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09ZD238Y2?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1 The difference is AMAZING!!! the OSD 6.5's have always had decent high's and mid range. Now with the Rockville Sub-woofer, I can adjust in as much bass as I want, and let the OSDs handle the mids and highs. This was done for an additional cost of $145. A screaming deal for a subwoofer that really delivers and does an excellent job of filling in the low range which had been basically empty. Connection was simple. As the Rockville is a powered subwoofer, that can be used in a mono configuration, . . . and supports both Line-level and speaker level inputs, I just doubled up the speaker connection on the OSD main speaker. So now one speaker wire pair goes to the passive OSD (as it should), and the other speaker pair connects to the right speaker-level input of the Rockville. Surprisingly there was no detectable degradation of signal to the passive OSD. The rest is setting the subwoofer to the acoustics of your area and personal taste. IMPORTANT NOTE: This Rockville Subwoofer IS NOT WATER PROOF. So if your OSD Patio speakers are on your patio, you might have to seek another option. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Not sure how much more I can add that hasn't been said already, but I can confirm . . . right out of the box these speakers could be a little louder, and definitely need enhanced bass. I was pretty disappointed at first, but then discovered that my Spotify app has a built in EQ which allows me to fine tune the music to my liking. I found the bass lacking so I bumped that up. I found the mid-range sounding hollow like it was coming out of a plastic tube, so I set that down a smidge. I found the highs a little dull (not as crisp as I like) so I bumped that up a bit. They now sound reasonably decent, but they still lose a star because they have to lean on the app EQ to get them this way (i.e., depending on the EQ as a crutch). I can also confirm what others have said. They sound much better once you get them outdoors. I hooked them up in my house just to try everything out before installation and frankly . . . was disappointed. However, I remembered the review stating they were better sounding outdoors, so I proceeded installation with high hopes. In summary, if you're looking for that "gut punching" bass, these aren't gonna get you there. With the EQ bass set pretty high, it's acceptable, but still just pretty good. Overall I'm happy with them, and will keep them, but if I had to do it again - knowing what I know now - I'd probably find something else.

Bought these speakers because I was tired of using a small portable bluetooth speaker. I wanted something to give my pool a party vibe. I am certainly not an audio guru but these speakers sound better than I expected. The treble is crisp with good mids and a little bit of bass. At max volume I can walk about 150 feet and still hear them quite well. The bluetooth connected flawlessly to my phone and all my kids phones. After 50 feet (in direct sight) the bluetooth connectivity is intermittent. Like most bluetooth devices, if I walked around the corner of my house out of sight of the speakers, I will lose connectivity. I usually plug my phone into the wall below the speakers and play pandora. I mounted the speakers under an overhang to keep them somewhat out of the weather. Had a few rain storms and haven't had any problems. I also added a receptacle in my overhang that is switched controlled in my house. Otherwise the only way to turn these speakers on and off is to flip a switch on the back of the main speaker which would be a pain if their mounted out of reach. You can also turn them on and off by using the supplied plug which has about a 10 foot cord. As for mounting, it comes with two screws for each speaker with painted white heads. The mounting holes in the bracket are spaced about 2.5". I had to take down a few pieces of soffit to add some 2x4's to mount the speakers.

Overall the speaker sound great. I would suggest buying a sub as well to get better lows in your music. There is very little base in these speakers. After having these speakers for 8 months the power supply went out. I did not realize this was the issue until seeing several reviews on Amazon a few months later. By that time I was about a month outside of the warranty. They will not work with you on this. If they were to replace the original power supply (with the same model) it would not be under warranty when it goes out again! They have not resolved the faulty power supply issue. The solution that I was given was to by an after market power supply or buy an entirely new speaker system! If I were you I would spend the extra $100.00 and get a much better product and buy from a company that will back their product up! This is not the one. They are very aware of this issue and will not resolve it!! They will however try to sell you more product!! Hope this helps the next person!! STAY AWAY!!!

I am not an audiophile but I have been a musician my whole life and I do know what good sound is. These speakers sound good, very VERY good. I put these on the deck of my vacation home and they may sound better than the 12 year old Polk speakers I have on the deck of my main house. They’re ease to install and a snap to pair. There is no downside to these speakers.

Bought them for the 2nd time for a new house. The first pair I had for about 5 years and they still worked and sounded great! Install only takes about 30 minutes and connecting to your phone is simple.

After doing quit a bit of research I wanted a set of patio speakers that have built in Bluetooth and build in amp and these had both. Being that they will stay outside I needed them to be all weather resistant and these also met my requirement. Last was quality sounds, clean bass and easy to install and use and again these hit my goal. I installed these speakers about a month ago and we love them. They pair up every time and we had our first party two weeks ago and I got lots of compliments with both the looks and the sounds. Hopefully they last so time will tell.
