Hotpoint 8kg Freestanding Heat Pump Tumble Dryer - White

We were replacing the old version of this machine and it is just as efficient. However, like many new things the designers have lost some of the functionality of the older machine. The new bottom filter is much easier to clean. Well done for that! However the controls are more complicated and you need the manual to determine which program to use. They have also changed the warning lights and that too means it is not quite as user friendly. Designers do not fix things that aren't broken! On the whole I like it but as with all things post Covid the prices are ramped up! If it lasts as long as the other Hotpoint then it won't be so bad.

Operating instructions could be clearer but we quickly worked them out. Good value, quick drying and low noise.

I just use the mixed option for all loads and works great. As long as you clean out both filters it works great. Very quiet and easy to use.

Feels solid, easy to install, works great. Can’t believe I waited so long to replace my BEKO. This is miles ahead and such a pleasure to use.

Seemed good but only lasted 9 months before it broke.

I got this to replace a 20+ year old Hotpoint dryer that was beyond economical repair it had stopped heating made a lot of noise and the parts were hard to find, But anyway let’s talk about my experience so far as I’ve only had it a few days but so far so good, the delivery was great the guys put it in the kitchen for me and as I paid for the take the old machine away option took the old one away no problems I did make a bit easier by putting the old machine outside only because the kitchen is very narrow and hard to move around in. After unpacking the machine you have to let it stand for at least 6 hours before using it so bear that in mind if you’re thinking about buying one in a emergency situation and you need washing dried out quickly, drying times well as it’s a heat pump dryer it’s not as quick as standard element dryer and the dry sense can be hit or miss depending on how much you have in it but how however it’s more energy efficient witch means lower energy bills. The clothes and towels definitely feel a lot softer when they come out compared to a standard dryer, the instructions say to clean the filter inside the drum after each load and clean the one in the condenser after 3 loads, I would highly recommend cleaning both each time as I’ve found them both to have collect a lot of lint but your mileage may vary. It’s probably not the most quietest machine out there but for the price and the fact it is a dryer you can’t expect too much I would definitely recommend so far.

Amazing service! - carefully installation and removal of old machine and packaging etc. Made sure the machine was balanced and functioning once delivered. Guys were both super friendly, helpful (especially toward my elderly father), followed delivery instructions, informed us of what to do if any issues came up after they left. Very impressed. Machine itself looks better in real life, is a tick louder than expected, but nothing disturbing. it works perfectly !👍

Got this dryer on a warehouse deal and is a very effective unit in terms of spending the exact required time to dry clothes with the built-in dryness sensors. Doesn't cost a lot to run for a few hours and has a great variety of settings for mixed, duvets, bedding etc. The only issue I have had with this unit is with the float sensor causing the dryer to pause until unplugged.
