Works Great.
I have another one that is quit a bit bigger. But for smaller sapling, etc. it works just as it should. The spikes will bite in nicely, wish my larger one had these. Well worth the money if this is a item you need. Only time will tell how it will hold up. So fare, so good.

Would not recommend this grubber
I've purchased several Grubber products over the last year to clean out my tree lines and woods. I started with the BG-08 and have been very happy but was hoping to find a slightly smaller version for the smaller trees. This unit was smaller bit Unfortunately did not stand up to the 3/4"-1" saplings and ended u0 bending making it useless.I ended up returning the unit and the seller provided my return with no issues.

OK, but not great!
Does a pretty good job on brush 1-1/2" or less. One of the arms bent and i really have not used it on large brush. Not good for very small brush. Overall it's a tool I can use ocation ally.

Works just as described
Works just as described grips small trees and does not let them go. Just remember you have to have something to pull with

BG review.
When this came in the mail I thought it was a joke. I was expecting it to be at least 5 to 7 lbs and a little bigger. None the less it lived up to its expectations. I hooked it up to my quad and yanked some smaller saplings and bushes out of the ground. I did bend the arms a little bit while using it. I'm no expert but I'm sure I did not go past the suggested torque rating. I was able to put it in a shop vise and tweek it back into shape. I was a little worried about replacement parts. There was a guide inside of the box that shows the stock # for the parts but no where on the website can you view them. You might have to call BG directly. I guess the only real complaint I have for this was the price. I think it was priced about 50% more than it should have been.

Very Disappointing
Wish I read the other reviews before purchasing this. I have the BG-16 Shrub/Clump Grubber and the BG-11 Stump Grubber Xtreme, both of which are fantastic tools that work as advertised. This Grubber Mini however was a complete waste of money. To repeat what others have already stated in earlier reviews "(the) metal is so soft the grabber ends bent completely out of line with one another in only a few minutes of light use. After ends were bent out of line they could not pull against one another, making product completely useless... ...I would like to say that this is a good concept, it simply had inferior parts. If hardened metal had been used, I'm sure I could still be using this product." Again, wish I had read the reviews and saved my money!

Good Item
The tool is well made, strong and with good teeth. I used it the day it arrived to give it a test and it worked as stated. I now have trimmed a number of small trees and plan to rip them out as soon as I can get to it. I would recommend this item to anyone.

Make sure you use a chain when pulling
Good for taking out saplings. No bigger than 2" diameter

Highly recommended.
This, and it's larger cousin the BG-08 work extremely well. I've mostly used the BG-08 from a chain attached to the loader on my compact utility tractor. Usually lifting straight up, but pulling sideways when the sapling initially resists. Works well even on Locust saplings with have very long tap roots. Impressed a professional tree crew that was working on cutting down big stuff, and I pulled a few saplings between dragging their trees to the chipper.I got the smaller one because sometimes the larger one will strip the bark off too-small saplings and you can't get a grip.Once I've planted the grip solidly, I've only had it come loose once or twice. There is a trick (mentioned in the instructions) on how to open the grips against the spring. Pay attention, otherwise, you may struggle with it and get bit.

meh at best!!!
this product is NOT for farm use. The metal is so soft that distortion is immediate . In the first five minutes a "E" clip fell out of the grabber..fixed that 10 more min and the main pivot "E" clip was gone too. second repair done and if not perfectly aligned to tractor it bends like a pretzel. Not abused and still less than a hrs work out of it.. 😳

Three Stars
After only a couple uses, the washer holding the two arms came off and all fell apart.
