Great Way to prepare for ACT
My son went through 4 of these practice tests before taking the ACT. The book includes the answers as well as fairly good explanations so the student can learn why they missed a problem and hopefully, how to get it right the next time.

Very helpful for my students!
This has been very helpful for my juniors prepping to take the ACT in April. It provides detailed feedback on what they are getting wrong as well as plenty of opportunities to practice ACT style questions.

Best official guide
The official questions are key to doing well in the ACT. This official ACT book contains 5 practice tests. In addition to the knowledge base, doing well in ACT also requires self-discipline, and that includes managing the time carefully, cultivating good test-taking habits, and replicating the test conditions. The official book allows you to cross out the wrong choices and underline key words as you work through the questions, do the scratch work on the test paper, and bubble your answers. The front material in the book also provides additional information and examples on the test.If you are preparing ahead of time and have practiced all questions from the official guides, you should review them again and think about how you can work faster if you see similar types of questions in the actual test. Experienced tutors can help fill this gap by helping students analyze the official questions from multiple angles, and teaching them how to work smart. The official guide will not do this because it gives the game away. A supplementary book like The Complete ACT Study Guide is very helpful because it gives a clear breakdown on the types of math questions you will expect to see in the ACT and provides invaluable tips, shortcuts, and strategies to work quickly and confidently. The book also provides reading, grammar, and essay tips, and a full practice test plus an essential word list compiled from official practice tests. Pre-calculus is highly recommended for students taking the ACT as the math section covers a broader scope than SAT.Benchmark ACT scores are usually 26 for the 80th percentile (a "B") and 28 for the 90th percentile (an "A"). For competitive programs and prestigious schools, scores better than the 99th percentile (33) are expected. A good high school GPA does not really count unless it's complemented by a good ACT score. For example, if a student has a GPA of 4.7 but only scored 28 in the SAT, a top university will likely downgrade the GPA closer to 4.0.
