SO GOOD FOR VIRGIN HAIR!!! (Light brown --> Deep burgundy)
I've always wanted to color my hair, but have never actually gotten around to doing it! I love the fact I didn't have to bleach my natural hair or anything for the color to be vibrant!! As this being my first time coloring my hair, I was so surprised it didn't smell bad and how easy the process was. If you reference my photos, I have medium length hair that goes a bit past my shoulders. I ended up buying 3 boxes of the dye, but I could've gotten away with buying 2 (I really wanted to make sure my hair was properly saturated). If you're someone who is contemplating dying your hair, but is worried about the commitment... GET THIS DYE!!! It's supposed to wash out over time, so I'll have to come back to review how it fades! So far, I'm extremely impressed with the results I had!

Not a SINGLE gray hair here! :)
I left it on 3x as long as directed.. well.. by the time I got around to using the showerhead to rinse out my hair color Ahahah! I may resemble an antique fire hydrant but hey it will fade.. and I am not having to look at a single gray hair whatsoever when I walk past the bathroom mirror as I choose to hide my crown of wisdom ") Although the main reason I did it was not vanity.. this hair color actually makes your hair sooo much healthier and in my book that beats picking up broken hairs everywhere when you have very long hair.

Red to the blue side - more burgundy than copper
This product works well and is as easy to apply as the advertisements say. I got good coverage and it is lasting well. Maybe too well, because I was wanting a coppery auburn, and this is a burgundy auburn. It doesn't work as well with my skin tone as I wanted.

Weird staining
I dyed my hair red for years but had to stop due to damage. Found this “Demi permanent” and decided to go back. My hair doesn’t feel damaged, the color turned out well, and doesn’t seem to be fading super quick. But the staining of this dye is very weird. It stained my tub when I rinsed it out, luckily a couple rounds of Clorox bleach spray got it out. Rinsing it also stained my hands and nail polish. The gloves included are giant and awful, when I did touchups I used kitchen gloves instead, and it was 1000x better.Overall, the dye was good for my hair, but I wouldn’t use again without bleach handy, and might wear gloves to rinse it out.

Great bright red color for blondes
This is great hair color but this color is more reddish than appears if your hair is a light color. For more brownish color go with golden light brown. It has perfect mount iof auburn red mix that looks more natural. .but if bright red is your color it must be blonde ir grey to take that color . I mix this color thought with light golden brown to get auburn high lights. Mix half and half of each tube's and tighten lids fir next time.

What happened?
I'm a long time Natural Instincts user and my go-to was 7RG/15GR.After the reformulation i noticed that the only reds that were offered were darker than what i had been using. There was an option for Rose Gold, which i tried and it looked absolutely horrible. It was ashy and unattractive, and it left my hair dry and frizzy. So i stockpiled! I searched high and low for the old formula and became willing to pay more per box because i thought surely Clairol would read the reviews, see the error of their ways, and correct their new formula.Sadly i was very wrong. Fast forward 3-4 years and i'm down to my last two boxes of the old version. In a desperate move i tried 6RR yesterday. It was a huge mistake. The new formula is drippy and smells awful. It once again left my hair dry and sad. But the worst part is the color. Oh! The color...Instead of my copper red tone that closely matches my regular hair color i've got violet hair on the roots and the ends. Call it user error for my own dye job but i have been doing this a long time and never encountered a disaster like this. It's atrocious. I'm actually embarrassed about how bad it is.Long story short: I can't fool myself anymore! I have to divorce Clairol. They just don't have the redheads covered (pun intended). They may think their old 15GR formula didn't sell well, but as another reviewer pointed out it was because the "dye" hard fans were buying it up in bulk when we could find it.Attaching two photos to show what i had before and what i got yesterday (appropriately labeled happiness and sadness).
