Coiled Power Cord for Beltronics / Escort / V1 Radar Detectors

I have the Beltronics Rx65. It is about 2 years old. The radar cord from Beltronics broke and I needed a replacement. After ordering a replacement from Beltronics, the replacement cord broke 2 months into its use. The beltronics cord keeps coming apart where the cord meets the peice that connects into my cig lighter port. I ordered this cord after reading reviews on it. This cord seems built better then the replacement cord I got from Beltronics and its half of the price of Beltronics. No, it does not have the mute button like the Beltronics one did but I could care less as long as it works good and doesn't break. This one has done great so far. It works great for my radar detector. Like I said for a cheap cord, this product is built really good. Shipping was crazy fast and I will be back to update my review after my 2 months is up to see if it lasted longer then Beltronics replacement cords. If your looking for a good replacement cord, this is it.

This cord has done its job for my Valentine One. Works like a charm. It fits in the power port very snugly. You really have to push to get it in, but on the flip side, it won't come out accidentally either. My original cord that came with my V1 pretty much disintegrated with age. The vinyl jacket was fraying and peeling off and one of the ends ultimately got a break in it causing it not to function anymore. That wire break also caused the internal fuse in the lighter adapter to blow. I bought this because I needed my detector working quickly for a road trip. It showed up in two days and has functioned perfectly for over 2 months now.

My beltronics radar detector is well over 5 yrs old. So old that specs are no longer visible. However, it still functions like when it was brand new. I had to replace the power cable.This power cord fit perfectly into the RJ11 female connector on my device. Functionality resumed as in its new state.The cord may stretch out to 6ft but in its coiled state it is approximately 3’ ft.

Great except for just where the wires come out from the phone jack type plug, seems somewhat poor quality as it looks as if the wires have begun to pull out of the plug.

Fits the listed detectors nicely, has a positive "click" when pushed into the power outlet.For my Valentine 1 unit it does the job very well, for some that incorporate the "mute" push button into the power cable [Bell] this will work but will not provide you with a fast ability to mute.Hard to complain or point out flaws when there isn't one!

The cost was reasonable compared to other same items.

Makes my radar detector work perfectly now. Kept powering down with original one. Coiled wire has alot of pressure to return to shorter length. Hasn't been a problem so far. Should last a few years. I think.

Extremely poorly constructed. Bought 2 of these in the last 8 months. First one lasted around 2 months before it stopped working due to the wiring being poorly soldered inside the box. Additionally the wires inside the charger began to crack, which is very odd considering there wasn't much tension on the charger. Second one lasted 6 months, before the wires in the actual radar clear connector broke. Again, there was barely any tension on the cable itself, considering my radar sits on top of my dash board. If you are looking for a cheap replacement, this would be it. However, don't expect these things to last more than a few months.
