Orbit 56186N Lawn and Garden 1/2-Inch Brass Impact Sprinkler with Metal Wheel Base

Really high quality. This really allows you to dial in the location where you want to irrigate. I like that everything is made of high quality durable metal, the wheels are hard plastic, not cheap at all. I think this will last a long time. I have fairly low water pressure, and it works for my small yard. Higher water pressure would work for a larger yard. You can pull the hose a bit to gently coax it into place. It was ready right out of the box. Just have to understand how to use it. Basically, you just move to clips in an arc around the center of the spigot. This limits the movement of the spigot, and it bounces it back to the first clip when it hits the second one. This is what that ever so melodic summer click-click-click sounds is from. This is is the kind of sprinkler that you want to sit out on a hot summers day and drink a beer while listening to it melodically drone in the background gently putting you to sleep. I recommend this to anyone who wants to sit in the backyard this summer with a beer, and water their lawn.

We used this before we got in ground sprinklers. Works great, just kinda a pain to have to shut off the tap and disconnect it and put it away. But for those that can’t afford ingrounds, this is your best option in my opinion

PROS: - Heavy duty cast brass construction to the sprinkler, making it very similar to the Rain Bird 25PJDAC impact sprinkler in appearance and function. Smtainless steel construction of the full or part circle control mechanism. Not as elegant as older Rain Bird impact sprinklers which used cast brass construction throughout but should allow for long, reliable operational life. - Part circle control clips on base are easy to adjust. - Like that the sprinkler includes both the diffuser plate and screw in order to optimize spray patterns. - Will provide excellent coverage for hose pressures between 30 and 60 psig. - Base is powder coated cast aluminum with the Orbit logo printed on it. Maybe not as nice as the older Rainbird sprinkler bases that use the powder coated cast zinc, but it’ll get the job done. It is also fitted with a pair of plastic wheels, which makes it easy to relocate the sprinkler around your yard, simply by pulling on the hose. I initially thought the base was a little bit too late, but it seems to work well during testing so no complaints here. I’m also glad that the base has a wire mesh screen in the hose inlet, to prevent it from becoming clogged up from debris. That should not be a problem if you were running the sprinkler on municipal tapwater, but still. There are a few people who pump irrigation water out of creeks and canals, and having an extra filter like that can prevent the sprinkler for becoming jammed. CONS: - I wish the part circle control clips were a little narrower to provide a larger range of part circle arcs. The sprinklers is currently limited to a maximum part circle arc of about 270°. Then again, maybe you don’t need an arc larger than that for that purpose. - The diffuser screw is fitted with a hex head. It would be nice if this screw had a head which was knurled to provide better grip when adjusting the sprinkler when wet.

Good solid sprinkler. I love how you can adjust the set screws and get just the pattern that you want.

I originally got the plastic one and it was horrible. The threading was already misaligned/ stripped from the get go. Water came out the base in multiple areas, it wasn't heavy enough to lay flat on the ground, and the water pressure caused it to flip. As for the metal one, it's very solidly made. Sprays really evenly, and adjusts the area size easily.

It works ok but if you've owned better, you'll be unimpressed. Light aluminum or white metal chassis with ridiculous plastic wheels. This type of sprinkler needs a heavier base than supplied here. The working parts are "homeowner" quality and should last for several years of modest duty. Lots of adjustments to control droplet size, coverage pattern, and radius. Oscillating mechanism will occasional fail unless the water pressure is full open.

Been using it for a few weeks. Overall, would buy again and recommend the product. Good: - Allows configuration options to cover large or smaller areas - Allows configuration options to cover anything from stopped in 1 direction to 360 degrees flow - Lightweight and well built Other remarks, not necessarily negative, but for buyer to be aware: - Being lightweight may cause it to move a bit when in concrete - It takes more time to water certain areas if compared to other models as it has 1 output (should be known as this is the model and characteristic of this product but worth reminding) - In certain configurations, it will not evenly water areas closer and farther from the sprinkler

I purchased this sprinkler first of Nov in 2023 thinking that it would last for years, unlike the cheap plastic sprinklers I usually buy which typically start leaking within a few months. It got very little use because I bought it so late in the year. I disconnected it from hose and stored it in my garage for the winter. Got it out yesterday and it worked great for about a half hour and then all of a sudden it stopped moving side to side. It was frozen in place and I've not been able to fix it. I'm so frustrated. I thought Orbit was supposed to be a good product but then I recalled that the 4 Orbit timers I've bought over the past few years have stopped working one by one.... even when disconnecting and storing inside during the winter months. I guess I'll go back to purchasing the plastic sprinklers. They last a short time also but at least they are cheap.

It didn't work properly and leaked from the rotational section of the sprinkler head where it shouldn't, I may have just had a bad one. I sent it back and got a full refund.

The sprinkler replaced an older one that has broken. Happy with the new one as is seems reasonably sturdy

El aspersor trabaja muy bien. Hace falta más claridad en el manual de manejo, porque se nos dificultó encontrar una "palanca" para cambiar los grados de rotación del aspersor. Una vez resuelto el problema, funciona perfectamente y permite regar con facilidad áreas amplias.

Se ve lindo, esperaba que funcionara bien pero no, simplemente instale normal y no pude hacer que funcionara correctamente, tenia fuga del aspersor de la parte baja, hay una foto y video por ahí en otro comentario sobre esto que comento, exactamente regaba una gran cantidad alrededor y el chorro que lanzaba era insuficiente para lograr un movimiento, pensé había ensamblado mal o necesitaba apretarse más pues trae una liga para evitar fugas, pero jamás pude aunque lo apreté, desconozco si es falta de presión pero jamás encontré la indicación de a qué psi funciona, entonces lo tome como falla de fábrica porque algunos si les ha funcionado.
