Rapitest Moisture Tester

My plants love me since I have gotten this useful tool. Forget sticking your finger in your plants soil and trying to gauge whether it needs to be watered or not, that usually only tells you how the topsoil is. I have saved plants from being overwatered by using this to get to deep soil especially for big plants. Also, you can find dry and moist spots and remedy those areas. The meter/tester is easy to read and very accurate, you can't go wrong.

If you have even one plant this is a MUST. It is so great to be able to know when my plants need water and not just guess or end up overwatering. Bought one for my grand daughter as she has MANY plants.

This works perfectly. This is the same brand and model as my 20+ year old moisture tester which still works perfectly. I wanted one for the front and one for the back for potted plants. So glad they still make these.

The meter isn't 100% accurate, but it gives me a good general idea. It tends to indicate more dryness than there really is. Example: the needle is at "1" (dry) but the pot's drainage holes still feel a little moist to the touch. I really like that it's an instant reading with no waiting.

Tried on five plants all at various moisture levels and the reading stayed the same on all of them. Fuscia in photo was watered yesterday and the tomatoes this morning and you can see it still says bone dry.

Was over watering my plants, then would let them dry but then they were over dry. Now I just use this moisture tester and it helps me know according to chart on back of package and meter what moisture ratio my plants should be between. My plants are happy and so am I.

I bought one a few years ago for my houseplants, and also used it for my deck plants. It works so well and is seemingly indestructible, for convenience sake, I bought another one to keep out on my deck!Well worth the money!
