Took a while to set up, but it was just me and I am meticulous (1 hr 45 min). Green screen was a breeze and a little mist and a hair dryer and it will be ready to use in 5 mins wrinkle free it worked great. The lights are good and this is a small set I bought which can be broken down easier than it is to put up. I broke down green screen and stand and overhead light and put them in the bag and light back in its box. I wouldn't suggest breakdown the other two lights (8 bulbs) even if you do put them in the boxes they came in unless it is an absolute necessity so you can travel with them. Portable would be doable, but probably a hassle if you were doing it a lot. My application is mainly breakdown and put up in my studio. I have had another set that was more substaintial poles for 2x the price these are fine, just take care of your stuff. I would recommed getting a sand bag the one that comes with it is useless. I did buy a package of regular sand bags and instead of sand put two 6# weights in it to balance and use for the overhead light (cleaner and easy for this application).

ok in buying this set at this price I figured if I got a couple decent usable pieces and a good screen I'd be happy & that is about what I got. The covers are useless and cumbersome to me (not an issue for me really since they are only going to be used to light the green screen anyway) the hair light is pretty good, the frame for the green screen is huge, decent quality but one leg bottom screw was broken when it showed up, not a big deal for usage but a pretty good hint of quality. the lights themselves are basic, bulbs all came in tact (odd the stand leg screw was broken but the bulbs survived) the green screen itself is a bit better than expect at this price all in all a pretty decent package.I would not call this a portable set, not just because of the size of the screen but I don't think the light are built for a lot of set up and tear down, this will be a good set up for my in home filming, which is really all I would recommend it for.

I bought this kit for background lights and also because I needed a hairlight. The green screen and frame was a great bonus for me. While everything works well, the tripods in this particular kit don't seem as good as the ones in another kit I've purchased on Amazon. They continually slide down. A little gaffe tape fixes this no problem, but I find it strange because the tripods in the other kit are built exactly the same way and I don't have any problems with them. None of the items in this kit are "heavy-duty", or but for photography, video blogging or making simple videos, the quality of light is more than acceptable and you can't beat the price. Taping a tripod is a minor thing.

The green screen isn't as expected. It is a piece of fabric that you could buy at your local fabric store. However, the lights are very nice but they are hot (as in temperature)! Even with the diffuser on, after sitting in front of these lights for a while (over an hour) you will sweat. I really only use the (2) two standing lights and not the overhead light or green screen fabric sheet. The light were very tricky to put together and I'm still unsure if the tripod actually goes with the lights its on. Anyways, it still works. It came to me safely shipped without any broken parts, which I loved :)BTW: I had these lights for over 3 years and they still function like the first day I've received them.

Nothing was broken when it arrived. It seems to be a little bit better quality than I expected. All of the lights performed well in the green screen keyed just fine. It did work okay with all the lights provided, but when I brought my own 2 lights in to help with lighting green screen more evenly it works even better.

I am still shocked that I was able to put together a home portrait studio for such an affordable price. All the bulbs were in tact. Everything works beautifully and the photos of my daughter are wonderful. I'm sure the quality is much less than a professional set up, but money is my largest concern. I did not have too much trouble figuring out how to put it together (as the instructions were very minimal). However, I don't see myself deconstructing and reconstructing it very often as it was time consuming, so be sure you have an area to keep these large lights.

You might still need a speedflash depending on what you're trying to capture, but this lighting kit and backdrop system is nice for the price, and the carrying case is very convenient. Is it as rugged and durable as other light kits? No, but it's also not as costly.

I bought this because it was a great price for soft box lights. All the other ones that I looked at were over $200 and this was well under. Did my first shoot with it and it was perfect! The only issue I have is figuring out how to put everything that comes in the bag back because there is so much. You must be a master at puzzles to get every single thing back in after you take is out.
