A must have book!
This book is the ideal guide for parents to lead their children into a moral, fulfilled, happy and safe, Christian life! "If you don't teach your children, society will" and it will teach them that anything goes. This book gives invaluable sample dialogues for parents for each age range through their growing up years. It is an enjoyable, easy read. These dialogues provide excellent Christian values while helping us to prepare our children to understand why we believe these truths and how they can respond to their friends in conversations on the topic. But the best part, imo, is that this is all done without attacking the people who are espousing these misguided ideas. It teaches how to respond firmly, but with love.I would not want to raise a child in this society without this book close at hand. A big thank you to Leila Miller and Trent Horn.

A must read for all parents!!
Excellent resource! I have a master’s degree in theology and marriage and family from the JP2 Institute, so have a good working knowledge of these issues. But as a mom of two small boys, I still worry about talking to them and protecting them from the culture of death. This book has so many great suggestions and I feel reassured and better prepared after reading it! I love the short, easy to understand, but thorough explanations of the Church teachings, especially the natural law perspective. Every parent should have this book in his or her back pocket!

Highly Recommend!
I highly recommend this book! In this day and age it can be intimidating and a little overwhelming when it comes to trying to navigate and teach our children how to face the tough moral issues of the day. Here Leila and Trent give a concise and tangible way for parents to guide and educate their children by enabling them to build a strong foundation at age-appropriate levels. In addition, I found this captivating book has also reinforced and enriched my own understanding of the Catholic Church’s sound and extensive teachings. The authors have created a timely and practical masterpiece for parents and their children!!

Logical, Easy to Read, and Warm
This book is great! It was a great mix of the Church’s teachings on natural law, Bible verses, scientific research, personal experience, and practical advice on teaching both little kids and big kids. It’s also well-organized, easy to read, and not too long. I’ve learned from experience how important those things are, especially with books like this that you might want to give to a questioning friend or family member. When I was converting to Catholicism as a senior at Princeton, I read The Good News about Sex and Marriage, which made a big impact on me. I like this book even better though, because I think the natural law approach to sexual morality is more objective and less squishy than the personalism approach, although I think both approaches are solid and resonate with different people. The book is mainly written for parents of children under 18, but everything in here is pretty universal. I’m unmarried with no kids and thought it was great.I also just wanted to say that I think Leila Miller and Trent Horn make great co-authors and I hope they write more books together in the future. They bring complementary gifts to the table.

Essential reading for parents, grandparents, teachers, and catechists.
I bought this book with high expectations because of the stellar reputation of both authors; the book exceeded those expectations. The main difficulty I see when these ‘hot button’ topics are discussed is that so many people don’t seem to realize that these haven’t always BEEN hot button issues! These used to be topics for whom the “right” answer was axiomatic. There is evidence right there of the massive and damaging cultural shift we have witnessed before our eyes. If you think it’s tough to navigate this upside down world as an adult, imagine what it’s like for a kid who is at school being indoctrinated by a secular culture whose values are 100% aligned against both the Gospel and natural law. This book arms you to fight the battle with your wits about you. It’s invaluable.

God made us in His image. We havebstruggles, but should ultimately follow scriptural and natural law.
I loved the split sections on how to teach older and younger children these difficult lessons. Im not Catholic, so the sections on birth control were difficult because I have made choices in ignorance contrary to God's law. Im glad He forgives.

Praise God!
Hate to say it but we all have doubts about how to talk to our kids about these issues without scaring them or ourselves with the possibility that they will dismiss what we say over what anyone else might - school, news, etc. This book is a good start to figuring out how to prepare for the conversations as they come or hopefully before we get there!

This book was just what I wanted. Clear information and backed up with research. The authors didn't judge but presented the advice in a God honouring way. I appreciated the sample conversations and the advice for younger and older children.
