Big YES... Ecofan UltrAir Heat Powered Stove Fan
Very very pleased. I purchased this stove fan to help circulate the heat on our Jotul gas stove. I was very impressed with how sufficient this fan works. Once in a while, I have to give it a slight tap as the stove is starting to heat up, but at a certain temp the fan starts on it's own. Very functional, no electricity, stand alone, solid and very quiet. I find the air the fan moves is very comfortable without any added expenses to heating our home.

Greatly increases heat from woodstove, especially in pairs.
We love these model 810 Ultrair Eco fans on our Moreso woodstove. There's something very satisfying about the silent 'free' boost in heat flow. We started with one, which had a subtle but noticeable effect. Then we added a second one on the opposite side for visual balance and more air flow. We were happy with this arrangement for over a year. Then one day I tried an experiment; I ganged up both fans on one side by placing them inline, one about 8-10 inches in front of the other. Wow, the increase in airflow was remarkable and immediately noticeable. With just one fan, you can put your hand in front of it and not feel that much, but with two inline, you can barely keep your hand in front because of all the extra hot air flow. So I just bought 2 more, to get ganged performance on both sides of the flue pipe and have visual balance. I guess it's like adding a 4 barrel carburetor to a muscle car engine, lol. This is a pricey but extremely effective solution for us, easily justified though, as our only source of emergency heat in the house when the power goes out. I'm definitely a fan (*cough* *cough*...pun intended haha). I noticed in the specifications that the Ultrair model 810 is rated to start working at a lower temperature than the larger Airmax model 812. This means that the 810 will start sooner and run longer as the stove heats up and cools back down. It's amazing how long the fans continue to run with just coals in the stove, long after open flames have disappeared.

Don’t buy cheep buy this.
Used once and worked great! Have tried another brand in my shop and it won’t move a pice of paper or even shift the smoke from a cigarette. This one will move a Heavy shop towel folded x2 but not x4. I can feel the breeze 3-4 feet away.

Good circulation and great quality
This is a great addition to our stove. We’ve had cheaper units and they don’t last. This is high quality. I did tweak the blades ever so slightly and it moves a held sheet of paper. :) The fan starts when the stove is just warm. And moves a good quantity of air! Oh and the motor is replaceable

These are fantastic!
I bought this as a gift because my brother went out of his way commenting how wonderful they were! When form meets function wins every time! Super quiet and so well made! I have a dueling pair of them on top of my fireplace insert so it’s turbo time!

A must for wood heat!
May feel like a splurge as compared to a cord of wood, but air circulation and improved house heating are incredible! We use approx 4 cord a year to heat our 2400 sf house (thank goodness for spray foam insulation in the basement - we used to burn 6+ cord!) We use the mid-sized 2-blade 810 model in our 350sf camp, heated with a Jotul 118 and an older 3-blade unit (Airplus) in our 2400sf home, heated with a Jotul Combi-Fire No 4. For buyers complaining about not 'feeling' the air current - this fan is intended to circulate/push the warm air into the room vs. it simply rising due to natural convection. Before the ecofan, there would be cool 'pockets' of air in the far reaches of the cabin, specifically the bedroom area and at floor level. The fan allows warm air to be pushed/circulated out into the room vs rising up to the ceiling and out thru the roof. You don't feel a strong 'breeze' like a fan you would use for house cooling/air circulation. Another plus - the motor is 'activated' at 300 deg and will spin faster when hotter. So as your fire burns down, the fan slows. Allows me to quickly check the 'status' of the fire just by speed of the fan. Our home woodstove is in the basement - I can peek down the stairs at fan to determine if stoking./adding wood is necessary. Same goes for a fire getting a little too hot - if it is spinning like crazy, I know to damp down the fire, or at least check on the fire.

Great idea
Prompt delivery. A neat machine that does exactly what it says. I’ve got to be honest I was pretty sceptical but it really does make a difference in our lounge where the log fire is at one end. Wish I’d bought one sooner

Klein, robust und gut verarbeitet
Kleines, sehr gut verarbeitetes Gerät. Absolut lautlos, funktioniert tadellos. Eher für kleinere Räume geeignet, der warme Luftstrom ist kaum spürbar. Wir benutzen es in unserer Berghütte auf unserem Holzofen. Für das ist der Ecofan bestens geeignet.
