Great purchase!! All the seeds germinated easily. I germinated them in a cup of water on the counter. The seedlings really need to stay moist (but not wet), or they’ll easily wilt and die, but they are prone to damping off as seedlings, so I’d make sure to watch the water level of the substrate and quickly isolate any ones with issues. I was pretty lazy with it, so I lost most of the seedlings, but even with that I still have 4 healthy plants. These are pretty and fun. A lot of seeds for the cost and uniqueness of the plant; I’ve only ever seen this plant when I was in South America. Great for the collection.

I was not fond of this kit. It gives you instructions but for me they ended up dying after it finally start growing. Ii ended up throwing the hole thing away.

EVERYONE that comes by my house loves these little guys. But be warned, when you get ready to put the seeds in the water to soak, ONLY put the seeds that you will be planting in there, as the seed pack comes with quite a few in there. The instructions say 3 seeds spread out per planter, and it comes with 2 planters plus soil wafers for the 2 planters. If you are going to use other planters by all means do so.. as this is just a friendly warning not to just dump the whole seed pack in the water like my wife did, lol. They grow really fast, and they DO NOT like cold air. I put all the extra seeds in a big planter outside and they took off like weeds. My wife kept the 2 small planters inside... one planter full is dead, and the other has barely grown in comparison to the one outside. So do as you like, I just hope this info helps someone.... Next up.... ZOMBIE PLANTS!!

Mom really liked this gift and the plants started growing in a few days. After three weeks, I see the little petals and leaves. Still too tiny to do anything with yet, but I'm hoping it actually works as it matures. Will transfer to a new pot in another few weeks. It somes with two pots, so I'm taking one back to my NY apartment, and leaving the other one with Mom in NJ. The only drawback is that it takes a while to mature until it actually does anything (been only about 1 month so far...)

Got this for my daughters for Valentine's Day. Comes with two packets of seeds and soil but only one flower pot. I thought it had two of everything. Other than that it is fine. Within a few days of planting the seeds we not see some sprouts starting. But not enough to try the "tickle" part yet. But my girls are anxiously waiting!

I couldn't get a singe seed to actually sprout. I contacted the seller who sent me additional seeds but they too would not sprout. I followed the instructions provided but to no avail. I even gave several seeds to a good friend of mine that can grow just about anything and she too said none of them sprouted after following the directions. I was super disappointed because I was really looking forward to having this plant as I saw one on a recent trip to Costa Rica and loved them. The two stars were primarily for the fact that the seller actually attempted to make it right the 1st time I contacted him by sending me additional seeds. ***Update*** I am revising my review because after my previous review the seller reached out to me, again, trying to make the situation right as I believe he genuinely wants customer satisfaction. After discussing possibilities as to why my seeds never sprouted, Mark made additional suggestions and recommendations for me to be successful. He then sent me more seeds and tada! I have some tickle me plants growing!! Thanks Mark!!!

I bought this for my 9 and 7 year old children, and also sent it to my niece and nephew who are about the same age. All of the kids LOVED this unique gift. It was packaged so nicely and came just as described. I was thrilled to be able to send a gift that I knew was very different but fun and exciting for the kids. They can't wait for their plants to grow!
