Excellent adhesive for concrete, but expensive so use wisely!
If you absolutely need to install any type of engineered wood such as bamboo onto a concrete surface, this is absolutely the adhesive for it. It comes with a vapor membrane and soundproofing feature too. You do have to remove any all paint from the surface (if it exists) using a diamond floor grinder to make sure the cement is porous for the adhesive to grab on to it.. The adhesive is VERY strong and flexible once it dries. It does not have any odor or VOC is very low. I highly recommend using a large dog food scoop to get it out of the 4 gallon container as it is very thick and then spreading it with a small spatula or trowel. I purchased 3 containers of this for my floor project and it worked beautifully. The price went up throughout the year so I'm glad to have purchased it beforehand. To clean-up the adhesive I used mineral spirits/paint-thinner on bounty paper towels to wash it on the surface of my hardwood. Overall very good experience with this item and I highly recommend it for those who have to install hardwood to a concrete substrate surface.

This glue is serious - do it right and do it once
We needed to glue solid bamboo planks onto concrete slab foundation - so I needed a one-step glue which would act as a vapor barrier, and be rock solid in strength.The Bostik Ultra-Set is about the best you can get IMO - once it dries nothing is going anywhere. I glued directly to the concrete, and nearly a year later everything still looks good. I didn't want to skimp on the glue, for obvious reasons.This glue requires a 1/4" x 1/4" V-notch trowel. Average set time window is around 20 minutes in my experience.

3-IN-ONE
Being in the flooring business over 20 years, this is one great product. I used this on a 900sf 5/8" x 5" engineered flooring onto concrete for one of my customer using 3/16" trowel (this product also works great for 3/4" solid flooring. We decided to use this instead of the 1/4" cork underlayment because it acts a a soundproof barrier also.PROS:-strong adhesive holds on any sub-floor-moisture barrier-sound barrier-saves time and money
