Does this smell like the stuff used in the Army? Miss that smell when cleaning my firearms.

It does not, the chemistry has changed and the overall MIL-SPEC is cleaner. I do remember the smell your referring to as I severed from 2003-2007.

The bottle says it has a shelf life of 36 months? I bought mine in December of 2017. Has it gone bad?

Just shake bottle before use and you’ll be good to go. It’s just a petroleum based product that can start to separate if it sets too long
