Probably the best Itoya portfolios.
First, I would like to apologize to the seller for mixing up my seller review with another product that came damaged from another seller. The binder came perfect, and on time. Thank you, and sorry. As for the binder, I started using them about five years ago, and once I got over the Itoya kinda-weird sizes, I realized that the 11x14 size is perfect for showing my photos. I started out using their ART series, mostly because of the price, but finally moved on to the Multi-Ring Binder because of the organizational easiness (If you need to change a photo position in the ART series, you have to move a whole bunch of photos together, but in the Binder, you just move the whole pages). Yes, it is more expensive, but SO MUCH MORE versatile, and then there are the added benefits: First, you can put double the photos in a single binder, if not more. Second, it has so much sturdier cover, and it is much more professional looking. Third, the backing pages are much thicker and more protective this surprised me, and it makes a big difference when a client turns the pages. And fourth, the sleeves seem to be more transparent, and they seem to last longer (the ART ones seem to get cloudy over time, mostly from overuse, I'm sure, because I keep taking photos out of them). Like I said, the only downside is the price, especially for the sleeves. I usually get a binder, which comes with 11 sleeves, and then wait for a 60% coupon from Michaels and get the sleeves for $10.00, or so. But even with the added cost, they are so worth it, especially for professionals.

Good Choice For Sheet Music Cover Art
The cover scuffs and scratches rather easily, more so than vinyl, but I am pleased with the product. A handy person could craft a fabric book cover, though I have a seamstress craft a slip cover to keep the dust out. The rings are sturdy and precise, the pages uniform and durable. 9x12 binders are problematic because of oversize sheet music, so I use mylar sleeves and corner mounts with 9x12 and 11x14 sheets in this 11x14 binder. This binder is limited to 20 pages(40 pieces of sheet music) with the supplied 10 sheets plus an add on pack of 10 pages, but any more would be heavy and awkward, anyway. I tried 2 other brands before deciding Itoya was superior in every way. If some other binder is better for a sheet music display album, I have not found it. My seller got it shipped to me quickly.

Binder is thick and sturdy
The binder covers is just under 1/8th inch thick and looks like molded plastic type material. This was key for me, as I am adding sensitive art, signed posters, and other large format prints to it, which could get damaged if something heavy was placed on the binder, or if it was punctured. The rings are a metal material, and riveted to the spine of the binder, resulting in a overall sturdy item. The plastic sleeves inside (came with 10) are thin, but not flimsy and each sleeve has a piece of thick black paper, so you can put prints back to back in each sleeve. The sleeves are acid-free archive safe and are crystal clear. Additionally, the sleeves were not bent, or damaged in any way from flexing, bending, folding, etc.. so they are all useable. The only thing that I think is missing from this size of binder (18x24) is a clasp, or a way to button it closed. A velcro strap or something of that nature would have been icing on the cake for me. Overall though, I am very happy with the quality of the item. It will surely keep my prints safe and its easy to go through and view all of my prints.

Main photo doesn't match. Not exactly 9x12
Quality is good. Very thick plastic cover all around. Slightly bendable. Main photo shows maybe a 1/2 width binder, but it is in fact a ~1 inch binder. Also the edge is curved not flat. If you are punching your own holes, there are 10 total punches that need to be made. The holes need to be 1" apart. Except for the middle two which are 1.5" apart. Thus the bottom hole to top hole is 9.5". PolyGlass sheets are not exactly 9x12, they are about 9.6"x11.3". Black backing paper is heavy matte cardstock.

Solid - and lays flat on my music stand.
Absolutely perfect. I'm a musician who likes to print my charts nice and large. I use 11x17 paper and trim them down to 11 x 14 for easier reading. This opens flat on my music stand. Its heavy weight makes it solid and the pages don't blow in the wind. The rings close completely on the one I got, so no snagging issues that a few others seem to have. It is hard to tell by the listing, but it is indeed a Portrait orientation (taller than wide) which is what I needed.

Nice portfolio books for showing your photos
Even today some interviewers do not want to look at online portfolios and want to see a portfolio of photographic prints. These book are great for actor-model-entertainers and artists to take on go-sees and interviews to show examples of their work. Pros: Reasonable pricing and nice appearance. The pages are crystal clear and removable so you can adjust the number and type of images in the portfolio to the needs of the project or job you are interviewing for or people you want to show it to. Cons: None for these books in general. For some reason 9"x12" has long been a requested standard for many model agencies. 8"x12" is closer to the standard SLR and DSLR image format and printing in that size is available at almost any photo printing place while 9x12's are often only available at professional photolabs.

I needed this size binder for my daughter’s highland dance certificates that come in UK sizing. They are now nicely preserved from damage.
