Would this work for a PA system at a baseball park?

it should, I have use them for a lot of my outdoor application. Must have an 70v amp big enough to push the wattage.

Will a 110v amp work? If not what amp is good for this? Besides the obvious 70v amp. Which amps specifically?

There's no such thing as a 110v amp. And, the 70v refers to one of the speaker output taps and stands for 70 volt output. This tap and the 25v tap are used when multiple speakers (like in a puplic address application) are used. The standard output of say, a stereo amplifier (amp) is 4, 8, and sometimes 16 ohm output and should only be used when one speaker is attached per channel...as in stereo. In this configuration, it is very important to match the speaker to one of the same ohm outputs of the amplifer. I could go on, but the basics are a little complicated to explain in this format.
