PYLE PLW10BL 10-Inch 600 Watt Subwoofer, Red

I purchased a pair of Pyle PLW10BL woofers to replace the stock woofers in my 7.2 surround system. The old speakers were rated at 300W each and the new Pyle speakers are rated at 600W each. Each speaker is powered independently by a pair of Triad power sub amps. I just installed these today and must say that I am rather impressed by the deep bass produced. When I installed the speakers, I used the existing theater mounting frames and simply swapped out the speakers. To my disappointment, the mounting frames are made of plastic and do not seem to handle the deep low frequencies produced by these speakers, so I am now on the hunt for some replacement mounting frames that are sturdier and will hold up to the abuse. Finally, the fit and finish is awesome. The blue cone looks good and the other frame components look sturdy. I would recommend these as a good replacement speaker.

These are not speakers for someone who is gonna just throw them in and hope they sound good u have to meticulously wire them set them up perfectly and they will outperform most, i have four in a jeep with two 1400 watt amps, u can hear me from about two blocks away, they flex alot when u have a good bass boosting amp and they drown out all the other sounds so i suggest buying a few tweeters with them i have mine on full frequency with 16db bass boost and theyll knock a cup of water sittin on my roof over, get em there cheap and great to play with but like i said it may take you a day or two to have them bumpin...do not be discouraged if they arent blasting the second u hook them up these babies need some tlc before they play for you but once u have em hooked theyll never stop

I got them in March and installed them and was for April. The speaker was doing fine and then it stop working. The speaker watts is higher then my amp so the speaker must have been defected because now its not working. I have to get another one to replaced this one. Not saying that the company is bad but the speaker should have lasted at least a year but it didn't but I will continue to get things from the company if I need anything.

I have a 2 year old surround sound setup in my living room. I had always been unhappy with the stock speaker in the subwoofer as it just sounded weak. So continually turning up the amplifier on it, it blew it out and it started rattling, I was not surprised, it was a cheap speaker. However, the subwoofer amp and enclosure were great. It had a built in 150watt amplifier on it and the enclosure looked good in my living room. So after doing some research on amplifiers & ohms I decided to go with this guy as a replacement since a "good" new subwoofer is hard to find under $150. SO, after a little mod to my existing enclosure I threw this sub in there and hooked it up. HOLY CRAP, this thing will rattle the walls in my home theatre room and rival those kids with the "noise" coming from their rattling trunks. For $27 and free shipping (I love you amazon prime) I don't know why more people just replace their stock subwoofer speaker even if it sounds fine. It quite literally took my cheap 100watt subwoofer and turned it into 300 watt subwoofer just by changing the ohms of the speaker i had in it. I have had it hooked up for a few weeks now and after a "break in period" which is typical of all subs and speakers, it sounds amazing. I have yet to turn it all the way up (its at about 50% now) just to see what it sounds like.

You get what you pay for. I’m a beginner in car audio so I wanted to start inexpensive. It’s adequate for what I want. Just a full sound similar to a factory subwoofer. The only issue I had was that my sub had been dropped and the frame was bent. Packaging was perfect so I do believe it occurred at the manufacturing facility and not the storage warehouse or postal service.

They are cheap subs but they hit well. I got cheap ones on purpose and that was wise. Good sound for the value. ran three in a box off an 800 watt amp and it was super punchy. I did have a 2 farad cap though

I know that this speaker is not completely on par with the big brands, but at nearly $100 cheaper, you cant beat it. The kick good and have a pretty well balanced bas profile. If you are looking for good bass on a budget, as I was, then this is the speaker for you. I also have Pyle door speakers and love them as well. Bottom line: great sub for the money!

I bought this to replace a 10 inch sub that had recently failed, it was only £30 and I already had the old enclosure, so why not? I toyed with not bothering to replace it, as I have a 12 inch sub along with a couple of extra 6 inch woofers, I was doing okay. Boy am I glad I chose to replace it. Straight out of the box, the speaker looked really nice, the blue really shimmered in the light, it was lovely. It was no problem at all to swap it into my enclosure, slotted right in and connected it up in a matter of minutes. Now, I expected this speaker to be average or maybe even slightly worse given the relatively cheap price. I was very wrong. I'd been missing that extra punch that I got from my old 10 inch. Very quickly after installing it into the motor, setting the amp up with very little gain whilst I wear in the speaker, I noticed a big different in sound. Even at low volumes this has great punch and a surprisingly wide frequency range, far more like a pa system, so whilst still hitting the lower bass tones, it really kicks the mid range beat at you. It is definitely better than my previous one despite having lower power ratings and being cheaper. Overall, for the money, I don't think I could recommend this highly enough. I've been really impressed by this, and ask anyone who knows me, that's not an easy thing to do. Also, delivery was great, same day delivery (although I ordered it at about 4am), arrived to me before just 9pm, in the car by 10pm, happy days.

Bought for home use. Running it off of a Juice JA794, 4 Channel, 1500Watt amp. Be aware this speaker is best suited to a sealed enclosure. Currently it's in an off the shelf box and sounds good, but will be building a box to Pyle's suggested box size of (Height) 11.75", (Width) 16.25", (Depth) 15.25" Maximum External dimensions giving a volume of 32Ltr*
