Really stainless, really rugged
Very pleased. Purchased this set of YANXUAN Mixing Bowls (304 Stainless Steel Nesting Bowls) just a few weeks ago. I've already used the largest of the bowls 4 times and sent it through the dishwasher twice. The bowls are sturdy. They are quite sturdy (a feature I searched out). They feel solid without being heavy. I measured a thickness of almost 0.022 inches (about 0,56mm) near the edge with a micrometer, which makes them thicker than most of the other bowls found here on Amazon and elsewhere. See the last picture. The stainless steel quality is fine so far. There are no discolorations from the dishwasher runs, where I use typical DW soap and high-temp sanitization. The bowls I received have no lip, but do have a 1/8" rolled edge. I found it fine for holding onto the bowl when mixing. The roll, as well as the metal thickness, will prevent the edge from collapsing during normal use. See the 4th picture. For surface finish, the inside machined and the outside is polished. See the 2nd and 3rd pictures. The measured sizes of the large bowl:- 9 3/4" top outer diameter (inside diameter is 9 1/2")- Bottom flat portion is 4 3/4"; it's wide enough to stay stable even with uneven contents.- Height is 4 7/8; appropriately tall for the volume; tall enough for a thumb when holding and mixing with your other hand.See the 1st picture of all the bowls, in nesting storage.I purchased this set primarily for the large bowl, with the small bowls expected to see less use. I'm quite satisfied with the purchase, but still need to add an even larger, at-least-as-sturdy, bowl.

Health caution: Inside is milled, not polished.
The main reason I can not recommend these bowls, is due to the inside not being polished. I have washed and scrubbed them at least five times. I am still getting metal residue off the inside of the bowels. This means you would eventually ingest the heavy metal residue. Not good.It is a shame, because they are they perfect kitchen bowls in weight and size.

Quality 304 stainless steel set
This set is one of the few mixing bowl sets claimed to use 304 stainless steel in writing (and not the 201, for example, that is easy to rust). The small radius round lip is nice vs the flat flange types. And the depth and shape of the bowls are ideal for mixing. Very pleased.

Well made with good material
These have been great bowls, but aren't adequately cleaned before leaving the factory. There's a gray residue if you rub them with a clean paper towel. You have to take an abrasive cleanser to them to remove the machining lubricants and metal debris. Adequate cleaning can take some time. With mine, 15 to 30 minutes per bowl.

NEVER BUY THIS IT’S WASTE OF MONEY
Okay. First month was fine. But now I have to check for the rust every single day even I don’t use it everyday. The bottom side of the bowl get rusty easily. Also, if there were just little bit of water and I put some other stainless things like spoon or forks, those will also get rusted. I have no idea what’s wrong with this item and just want to return

NOT heavy-duty, just lightweight routine stainless steel
While these are perfectly serviceable stainless steel mixing bowls, there is nothing about them that is heavy-duty/heavy-weight. I'm actually offended that they are advertised as heavy-duty. When you lift a true "heavy-weight" stainless steel mixing bowl, it's apparent. This set is way over-priced.

Not bad I guess
Got scared off from other stainless products on Amazon due to all the reviews saying they came in dented, or rusted. So far these are decent. Wish the interiors and exteriors were polished, because they are kind of rough, but eh, I guess it works. There is some leftover metallic residue from manufacturing. If you take a wet paper towel and rub it against the inside you will get the grayish stuff. Before first use I simply scrubbed it a bit with a Scotch Brite green/yellow scrub sponge. After a while the wet paper towel would come off clean after rubbing.Did notice raw garlic would leave some stains, but they were fairly impermanent. Also don't really like the rolled lip, because it traps water over time. But I guess at this price point this is about as good as it gets. Not about to drop $70 on a bowl from some "name" brand.

heavy duty and deep
Love these! The heavy 304 gauge stainless means they won't deform/dent/rust even when dropped or under heavy use. I use them a lot, and really appreciate that they're deeper than most, so beaten ingredients stay in the bowl rather than decorating the counter. Many metal kitchen bowls are shallow, with a soup bowl profile, while these are roughly half as tall as they are wide, making them very practical to work in as well as serve in. Clean easily in the dishwasher or by hand due to the smooth interior. The only thing that would make them better would be a pour spout, but since that might jeopardize the shape holding, I'm not going to complain.
