Customer service?
The lights look great, but I need customer service and can't get a response by phone or email. There are no good instructions about cutting the string and how to cap the end.

Near complete failure within 5 years (>20000 hrs)
Installed under cabinet. Installation was easy. LEDs are driven directly from the 110V line with no regulation but series resistors for each group of diodes in the assembly. This makes them susceptible to any power transients. Further, they are driven fairly hard, so there is not much margin between operation and over-drive. Our line voltage in east central Florida is closer to 120 V, so immediately they are over-driven. Within 6 months, several LEDs failed to light or began flashing on/off at a noticeably slow rate (~1-5 Hz). Slowly, over the course of about 5 years of about 8-12 hours/day use (~20000 hours), all but about two LEDs from the whole string failed. Caveat: A conventional 3-ft fluorescent fixture in an adjacent cabinet bay (on the same circuit) ran for close to 10 years before failing (needing a bulb replacement). It is possible (even likely) that the fluorescent fixture accelerated the failure of the LEDs due to inductive kickback when the common circuit was switched off, but I can't be sure - hence the 4-star rating. All-in-all, disappointed that it failed, but not surprised. For a low-cost, quick installation, this is a reasonable value. For long-term installs, you might want to invest in LED strips with a regulated power supply. (Those types are generally more easily dimmable, and also do not flicker.) And don't install it on the same circuit at fluorescents!

Quality, but maybe not enough lumens for my situation
It's been a while since I researched a project so carefully before making a buy. Seriously, I probably spend 4 hours researching this. Two years ago when my master bedroom got a remodeled, the installer gave me low voltage lights behind crown molding. Great idea, but they were never quite right, and recently failed. I wanted to make sure that this time I picked the right product. I realized the low voltage product initially installed couldn't be stringed to the length I needed. These normal (110V-120V) lights seemed to be the answer, but I still had a ton of questions. Despite the tons of materials on line and on YouTube, it was a challenge to get some of the answers. (And FYI, there are lumen calculators on line. Find one that factors in ceiling height as well.)I found this product to be a high quality with a very thick plastic coating. What I liked about CBConcept products is that they offered a ton of lengths that were pre-assembled. I didn't have to attach it to a power cord/power supply, nor did I have to splice several lengths together. I was thinking of cutting the 40' down to 36'. They said it included an end cap and I wondered if they meant a spare end cap (so I could do that), or just the end cap that came on the pre-assembled string. Turns out, there's no extra end cap. As it worked out, I can deal with the extra 4' so it's not a biggie. But in case you're wondering, no ... you only get clips, no end caps. The configuration in my bedroom is very odd. I'm only using the lights on 3 sides of the room, and it's a cathedral ceiling. For the fourth side, it's open, with a bathroom and closet beneath it. When I calculated lumens, I didn't include the area above the bathrooms and closets. It looked like I needed 5,000 lumens. The length I bought was 4,300 lumens, and users said it seemed very bright. I was debating between 2 different CBConcept products, this one and the SuperBright offering, which is 10,500 lumens. In retrospect, I think I would have bought the SuperBright for my area, I think I can compensate by (eventually) adding reflective air conditioning duct tape inside the molding as needed, a trick I picked up from a video.Another lesson learned ... if I had to do it again, I'd get a friend with another ladder to help install, as it's very easy for the lights to flip over and shine down, particularly around corners. In the near future I will be doing a remodel in the adjoining dining room, with a similar cathedral ceiling. It's so hard to light such a tall room, so I'm going to use the same crown molding approach there. I won't hesitate to use CBConcept again. Only next time, I'm going to use SuperBright.

Absolutely perfect solution to replace kitchen cove florescent's
Our new condo had fluorescent tubes in cove lighting around the kitchen. 3 of the 8 tubes were out and no current tubes on the market or the spares in the condo storage came close to matching the light color of the existing. I was going to go the route of replacing the tubes with LED tubes (I hate florescent lighting for many reasons) until I found out that A) you have to change the ballast/bypass and B) LED replacement tubes of same length are EXPENSIVE and I needed 12 of them. SO, Rope Lighting to the rescue! Obviously I needed to change re-wire electrical to have an AC plug controlled by the kitchen light switch instead of an "in series" set of florescent fixtures. With this solution, I didn't even have to remove the florescent fixtures or tubes- just re-wire the first to have an outlet.I needed exactly 20 feet - so I initially purchased "CBConcept UL Listed, 20 Feet, 2100 Lumen, 3000K Warm White, Dimmable" - thinking the lighting we wanted should look "warmer" than the bright white we usually see from LED's. This was too "warm" and not quite bright enough as we do use the cove lighting most of the time for our kitchen task lighting. I was able to return that for full refund and bought this product: "CBConcept UL Listed, 40 Feet, 4300 Lumen, 4000K Soft White, Dimmable". I only needed 20ft but figured I could first try it as a loop and if it was too bright, I could cut it. To my astonishment, it was PERFECT as a loop so basically I had 2 20ft side by side around the cove. The brightness was equivalent to our original florescent's and easy to use for kitchen tasks and the 'warmth' was perfect. They stay cool to the touch all the way around and even on the connection cord/adapters. Thank you CBConcept for having this product - so much cheaper solution than replacing the lighting any other way! And environmentally speaking far superior to florescent's.Additionaly, having it dimmable is perfect: I bought this and have it integrated to my Alexa for total control:"Leviton DZPD3-2BW Decora Smart Plug-in Dimmer with Z-Wave Technology, White, Repeater/Range Extender:

Work fine but not bright enough
I used these lights as a replacement for fluorescent lights in my entrance and I have to say that they are too dim. Unfortunately I cut them to length so I can't return them. They would be great for accent lighting but not as a source of primary light.
